Joe Biden has insisted he doesn't want Barack Obama's endorsement in his third run for the presidency.
But if history is any gauge, Obama had no intention of going out on a limb for his former VP this time around.
The 'bromance' between the former president and Joe Biden that blossomed when Obama took office in 2008, dissipated in the post-White House years, according to an upcoming book about the pair: Barack and Joe: The Making of an Extraordinary Partnership.
While the two men did develop a strong affection for one another, there were times Biden drove Obama over the edge as the book reveals a younger Obama once rolled his eyes at Biden's constant babbling, sending a note to his adviser saying: 'Shoot. Me. Now.'
And it was a political embarrassment for Biden when Obama failed to step up and support his former vice president in both the 2016 and 2020 presidential races.

Obama has a juvenile mentality.
That is what I was thinking.
This shows us more about Obama’s character traits than it shows us about Biden’s.

In all fairness to Obama, I’ve often felt the same way (over the years) when listening to Biden prattle on nonsensically about this, that, etc.
“Shoot me now”?. Obambi should have been detained by the Secret Service for making a threat against himself.

Biden and Obama probably met a few times in eight years. Obama allowed this horrible creature to take Billions with a B from China in exchange for favors as well as exposure to military secrets like when the Chinese rushed into the clinton White House w bags of money

Sounds like the Democrats are cutting Biden loose and Obama is distancing himself to be in position to endorse someone else.
We all know about Obama’s narcissism. What this is
about is Biden’s total lack of self-awareness. He
still thinks he ever really ever meant something to BO.
Our VPs are one heartbeat away and we've had some real clunkers over the years. For example, LBJ never would have gotten close to the presidency were he not handpicked for JFK in order to win the South. When Nixon got in trouble, there was some fancy footwork required to get Spiro Agnew out of the line of succession.
Biden always reminds me of the neighbor you avoid making eye contact with when you are both out in the yard because you know he’ll be over and you’ll be a captive audience for a long session of BS.
Having said that, I’d rather put up with him than spend any time at all with Obama.
But, Obama took office in 2009...

0bama is in a bit of spot as well---endorse an over the hill guy, or endorse someone else and possibly look like he made a bad pick for VP.

The current selection process for VP is not the one the founders created. We currently select VP’s according the the 12th Amendment, approved in 1804.
The founders defined the selection of President and VP in Article II, Section 1, Clause 3. Under the approach outline in the original Constitution, each member of the Electoral College cast 2 votes for president, with no distinction made between President and VP. The presidential candidate receiving the most votes (assuming the number equaled a majority of votes, became President. The candidate with the second largest vote tally became VP.
Most of the Founders abhorred political parties (factions) so they were comfortable with the candidate with the highest electoral vote tally becoming president and the second Vice President. However by 1800 the formation of political parties was occurring and the danger of having a President and Vice President diametrically opposed to each other became apparent. Imagine today if Trump were the President and Hillary Clinton was VP.
