Odd, that twitter feed states it’s an eclectic (presumably electric) railway.

OK, McCormick Place the new fireproof building burned to the ground, yes frozen hydrants, but that was about 1967.

Since then fire since and building design (code) have made many advances.

Dubai had a couple of highrise fires in the curtain wall now this one?

Are they building on the cheap?

There is some speculation that the contract labor they use, Bangladeshis?, do pretty shoddy work.

Idle speculation here also: Saudi Arabia just said it will open to tourists. Dubai has been open for awhile, I think. Could some fundamentalist version of Islam be trying to protest or prevent outsiders from coming to their countries?

Bangladeshis?, do pretty shoddy work.

Perhaps, but they did not spec the curtain wall that fired up a handfull of high rise buildings.

Guessing? They are promoting local talent for details and maybe some palm grease to insure a product selection?

Maybe the Iranians were just burning off some of the $150 billion Osama Obama gave them.

We probably need information that is more *current*.

I hear ya. Although there could conceivably be an argument from "current", I think it was conclusively settled some 2000 years ago by the Ultimate authority.
