Chris Krok explains why, under Texas law, Amber is not guilty of murder in the State of Texas with guest Attorney Pete Schulte on WBAP 820 AM. Here is a link to podcasts of the Chris Krok show http://www.wbap.com/chris-krok-podcasts/

She was arrested because she was white and the victim was black. Not that she was blameless, but race placed a very large role in the arrest and charge. Situations transpire.

Stupid people to be defending the murderer.

The jury will convict, regardless of the skin colors involved, and rightly so.

Not guilty of premeditated murder, but would seem to be guilty of a lesser charge? I feel sorry for her, but one cannot just kill innocent people and face no consequences.

If she was so exhausted that she was incapable of recognizing her apt, it would seem to me she was overworked and the DPD could be found civilly responsible?

I am reminded of no-knock raids where police go to the wrong address, and kill an innocent occupant. I don’t think they should be off the hook for that, either.

Something is seriously wrong with our approach to peace officer duties, if killing innocent people is found to just be an unfortunate, but accepted part of the profession.

Oh gosh whodathunk that a cop would find that a fellow cop is blameless? Lolol!

Do you think that attitude of something akin to “collateral damage” when referring to Innocents murdered in military engagements has spread to law enforcement in part because of the militarization of our law enforcement agencies?

At a minimum, she unjustly killed a man. An unarmed man in his own home, which she illegally, even if mistakenly, entered. That is clearly “criminally negligent”, and thus, at a bare minimum, Criminally Negligent Homicide.

But then the purpose of police investigating one of their own is rarely to prove them guilty. Pretty bizarre that a witness called by the prosecution would tell the defense that he didn’t believe the defendant committed a crime?

To add, is there a single freeper that believes if it were “joe six-pack” citizen who accidentally walked into the wrong apartment and shot a man sitting on his own couch, watching TV and eating a bowl of ice cream, Texas Ranger Sgt. David Armstrong would say “he committed no crime”?

The murder one charge is to make sure that she can't be charged of a lesser crime since she will be declared innocent of murder. It's a standard ploy when the DA wants to keep tight with the police.

The b#$&h is a badge heavy drunken killer, who's first reaction was to open up when she was startled, but she'll walk.

She was obviously an incompetent affirmative action hire. The department wanted a body to fill out the female slot to satisfy the social justice crowd.

The long shift she worked is pathetic as an excuse. Given her alertness and competence level, had it not been this guy, it would have happened to someone else later on.

I was watching some of the coverage on Court TV last night. Both the prosecution and the defense agreed that the victim was sitting down in a chair when Guyger shot him. That doesn’t look good for her at all.

It seems up here that when people are charged, they are charged with several crimes, murder, manslaughter, etc and it is sorted out in the arraignment.

A dead body, a smoking gun and her 911 call admitting she shot him seems like probable cause to me.

Maybe that as well, but perhaps when the “peace officer” role transitioned to the “law enforcement officer” role, due to proliferation of laws and regulations? And then there is the war on drugs aspect.

Look up the story of officer Regina Tasca, who intervened to stop a beatdown of a mentally ill man some years ago. She’s the kind of officer I want working my neighborhood.

I support peace officers; it is the system that is the problem.

They are not obviously guilty LEOs that the DA is trying to free. This Charging with the Maximum trick only works when the DA WANTS to lose. LEOs get all pissy if they don't believe they are above mere civilians, and the DA doesn't have their back.

She's gonna walk. She has a magic shield, the FOP.

Bull squat. Mental gymnastics of the worst kind. Manslaughter, murder, whatever. This incompetent woman killed a man. Mistake maybe, possibly, but mistakes don’t make you less guilty.

So police can shoot an unarmed man in his own home and walk away from it?

The Ranger also testified that he parked on the wrong floor in the parking garage and had interviewed several residents who admitted to having tried to unlock an apartment that wasn’t theirs giving ‘some’ credence to Amber’s acccount.

How was the victim a ‘threat’ if he was sitting on the couch when she shot him? Did she give him a chance to surrender? She should have tried to detain him and called for backup. She had no business being a cop IMO.

Is that the cop who killed the black guy after having entered the wrong house? If so what little I know about this case clearly indicates that she is,at the very least, guilty of some sort of negligence..."Negligent Homicide" perhaps. If I were on the jury I'd want to know *a lot* about her background before I'd vote "guilty" on anything more serious.IOW...if her background indicated a nasty, aggressive, confrontational type woman (or cop) I might vote "guilty" on a more serious charge.

IIRC the guy was just sitting in his home when she walks in and starts firing. That's wrong regardless of race...and it's doubly wrong given that she's a cop.

Not defending her, but for people who don’t live here, 5 Dallas police officers were gunned down in cold blood not that long ago by a Black Lives Matter activist.....just saying.
