Pretty amazing how these $75,000 vehicles get ratings of 3/5.

Idiots. That’s why they moved the factories to Mexico. I guess they don’t really want to work after all.

May want to reconsider GM’s going the way of the dodo as it is still on the books to the taxpayers.

The U.S. government’s $80.7 billion bailout of the GM/GMAC/Chrysler lasted from December 2008 to December 2014. The U.S. Department of the Treasury used funds from the Troubled Asset Relief Program. In the end, taxpayers lost $10.2 billion after the last of the stock was sold by the Treasury Department. And there were further awards of cash during the Obama administration that have not been paid back yet.

A good timeline is:

After my experience with LTD, my daughter’s Mercury Mariner and my son’s Mustang I will NEVER buy another Ford product EVER. They are garbage. And GM is a joke. It’s Honda or Toyota for me.

I have a 99 CRV that runs great, Mazda is my first choice, Toyota my second and now Honda my third.

Thanks for the info. There’s probably a 50/50 chance I’ll buy another vehicle before I die. I had considered Ford, because I thought they were a well run company. But if they have problems with their products, I don’t want anything to do with them.

Honda’s and Toyota’s products seem to be the most consistently highest rated vehicles. Im quite comfortable with my Honda CRV. I can get into and out of it easily and I haven’t had any major problems with it. It has about 145,000 miles on it. There are some dings on it, but just because of sloppy driving (one by me, the other by what’s-her-face). Vintage 2005.

If I won powerball, I’d easily be in triple digits for all the cars, trucks, jeeps, and other wheeled stuff I’d have.

Never get it out of me, assuming I had that in the first place.

Oh definitely. I’d have a hard time getting around to all of them. Or moving them to get to the other one. Or the next one. Or the next one. Or the next one.

Who would ever buy an Equinox when they could buy a Mazda CX-5?

In fact who would ever buy any medium SUV when they could buy a CX-5?

Me either but I wouldn’t care.

Maintenance, upkeep, and fixing up the few jalopies I have is a bear being a full time working person.

Some of my powdercoating on the Willys is a few weeks overdue and should be ready tomorrow or Tuesday. Some misc things, front bumper, and the windshield frame. As soon as the frame is ready, I will drop it off where the glass is and get that back in. A major step forward. The fuel tank along with a replacement M38 style dash are next. Both fenders due to price will be last. The tub I think is salvageable. It will take a good sheet metal person.

I dropped off CJ7 seats to be reupholstered Friday.

The blazer I haven’t touched in months but will some day.

At some point I will tackle rewiring my CB750 project.

I don’t have much of a life as it is.
