An argument broke out. Police say a woman chased down her boyfriend and fired a small pink gun, missing him but hitting another man talking on the corner. The errant bullet killed Andrew Owens, an aspiring model who loved his family, traveling and dancing and could devour plates of food without gaining a pound.
"Prior to all this, we were all friends," lamented one of his cousins.
The woman had a license to carry a concealed gun. Over the next several days in August, there would be two other shootings by people with concealed carry licenses: The killing of a man during an argument near a Southeast Side playground, and the wounding of a man in a West Side backyard after he “balled up his fists” and started swinging at the homeowner.

And buried in the article are the facts that more than 1/2 of these shootings were the result of an assault on the CCL's person or loved ones.
But those are just minor details, according to the mainstream media.
Be sure to read about the person who so frightened when they sat thru a concealed weapons class......
All this artical proves is the futility of Red Flag laws.You can never tell when someone who go’s through life day to day normally will suddenly explode.

Given the rampant, rabid anti-gun agenda of the MSM I'm not even convinced the first case is as presented. "...hitting a man talking on a corner..." sounds like he was innocent. But I would not put it past the MSM to leave out little details like - he tried to intervene and prevent her from shooting the other guy, he was standing on a corner between them, talking to her when she tried to shoot past him... I have no idea what actually happened, but I don't trust the MSM's depiction of anything firearm related. Well, I don't trust the MSM on any topic, but they are even more likely to distort anything to do with firearms.

So Chicago has 40,000 concealed carry licensees. Cook County has 5,000,000 plus million people of which nearly 3,000,000 live in Chicago. We have less than 150,000 in my County but because of a military base we have over 130,000 concealed carry licensees, yet we do not have the problems they do. Maybe it’s not the guns stupid!
So, the Libtards want to talk about statistical correlation. These “licensed folk” seem badly under represented when you look at the weekly body count. In an area where statistically, your odds at being injured in combat are higher than they are in Iraq these numbers are astoundingly low. Does anyone have the numbers on “good shootings v. bad shootings”?
Over 6 years there have been 60 shooting incidents (and these include just pulling the gun without firing) by CCL holders.
12 of those resulted in charges against the CCL holder. No data on the number of convictions.
That’s of over 300,000 CCL holders in Il.
Compared to several thousand firearm murders in the same period in Chicago alone.
Yet the trib decides on a full spread to lament the danger posed by CCL holders.
Sort of like Jews who vote for people who hate Jews.
I never could figure out that mentality. Help elect the very people who want us in chains. Boggles the mind.
If New York gun owners all voted R we could get rid of Cuomo, but they don't. As you say, mind boggling stupidity.
I’m an Illinois CCW holder and have never had to draw my weapon but have had three incidences when I was glad I was carrying. The worst was some lunatic who took offense when my wife corrected him on some minor detail on stoneware at an antique mall and stalked us on the highway after we left. I was able to lose him in a small town.
CCW carriers are, statistically, one of the most law abiding groups in the country. More law abiding than police.

As an older American with health issues that include very low bone density, a punch to the head could fracture my skull and kill me.

Let me tell you all something that is quite basic and true!!! The Democrat Party can pass all the gun restriction legislation it desires and, it will not prevent one mass shooting slaughter of innocents.
I refer you back to the slaughter of innocent school kids that happened in the Parkland high school in Broward County, Florida. The real guilty parties that aided the lunatic, nutcase is simple to outline and define. It starts and ends with the current Democrat Party led by ex-POTUS, Obama, The Broward County School Board administration, The Sheriff & Police force of Broward County, The neglect of the FBI to reveal information concerning the killer. Obama played nice to these nutcases by insuring that nothing ever came out publicly about them. The School folks, the Sheriff, the Police, the FBI, the Democrat Politicians knew this nutcase was insane and did absolutely nothing about it. And...to boot, shame on every Democrat voter in Broward County, Florida...each one of you may as well have pulled the trigger that slaughtered a community of innocent kids. Me.....to me the Entire Democrat Party should be destroyed, politically and let us return to tough, pro-active policing and information release on these insane murderers!!! Follow folks like Democrats, Scott Israel and Debbie Wasserman Schultz, etc., and I can assure your kids & teachers, who are innocents will continue to be slaughtered regardless of any gun control legislation to restrict guns. Guns do not kill people...nutcases, lunatics and Democrats do!!! Wise up Americans!!!

After some maniac came up to my wife’s side of my Jeep screaming his head off because I’d “cut him off in traffic” she’s changed her attitude. I don’t think the guy ever considered how that it could have been another white Wrangler.
