They have plenty of dams and hydropower in the region, but it’s never wise to put all one’s eggs in one basket.

There was a documentary made about the Seattle City Council and King County Commissioners.
The movie is titled 'Idiocracy'.
I'm being only slightly sarcastic. Don't waste your time or money watching it; it's a real stinker.
But so is Seattle these days.

The Left coast will become its own country at some point. These people are loons, and completely untethered from Americanism.

About 12 years ago we had almost 100% of the Puget Sound area without power for weeks on end because of a snowstorm and downed lines (with serious accessibility problems from down trees. Ex #2 worked for Puget Sound Energy and she was away from home for 2 weeks straight on storm duty. This is so “cart before the horse” it is not even funny. All lines, including Distribution, need to go underground to make this viable. Postscript on that storm, I lived remote and had a 250 gal propane tank along w a 15kW generator, so I was fine.

We are headed to energy wars. By what the a-hole left has come up with, there is no energy but wind and solar.

Two “reasons”:
1. Leftists hate fracking
2. Leftists want to force you to buy into their $green$ deal

These people are insane. In New York City a new apartment building was just completed with no natural gas. The builder had to make it that way for the city to permit the construction. I’m sure there are others beyond the one I know about. The Eco terrorists are running the show. They think electric is magic and natural gas is evil. Completely nuts.

This is the Seattle City Light chart for 2017 energy sources:
Hydro is overwhelming largest source. Natural gas barely registers (see note 2). So this is a big virtue signal action.
Natural gas service is available however...so the ones using gas for home heating, cooking, commercial operations and the like are the ones getting screwed ...

Washington has many beautiful and unusual places. Unfortunately for residents a deadly liberal fungus is going to destroy the whole state in a very short time.
