And why, if you have no other option for your kids than public school, parents don't have a come to Jesus meeting with their kid's teachers and principal before the start of the school year. A meeting that draws a VERY clear line for everyone involved regarding what is acceptable and what is NOT.

If you insist on sending your children to public school teach them that it is okay to tell the teacher no.

Some teachers and assignments may be intrusive or go against your values. Tell the teacher politely that you are not going to do an assignment for that reason and that they can talk to your parents if there is a problem.

Make sure they know that you will back them if they are in the right.

When the students expressed discomfort, the teacher's response was to tell them it was alright because she used to be Catholic and is now a bi-sexual atheist.

Just when you think things have hit bottom, they get worse still. This teacher should be fired. If she wants to be an SJW, she can do it on the street and not in the classroom.
