Mattis: Obama Failed to Respond to Iran Bomb Plot on U.S. Soil Because of Nuclear Deal
PJ Media ^ | 09/05/19

After the surprise resignation of Secretary of Defense James Mattis last December, Democrats were quick to politicize the news, and have certainly been hoping ever since that Mattis would provide them with new information they could use to attack Donald Trump. He does have a memoir coming out, Call Sign Chaos: Learning to Lead, but it looks like it’s Barack Obama and Joe Biden who get the bulk of the criticism.

Prior be being Secretary of Defense under Trump, Mattis served as commander of U.S. Central Command under Obama and Biden. Mattis had predicted that Iran would continue to provoke the United States. Mattis’s warning went ignored, and when Iran committed an act of war on American soil, he was not told about it, and the United States never responded to it.

I get flak as well, but I don’t care.
The protections of the natural born citizen clause were indeed wise and we should learn from the Kenyanesian Usurpation and never repeat it.

Yes, that is photo-shopped.

All too believable because of who Hussein is, and the damage he did to America while in office.

Mattis says Washington didn’t even inform him when Iran committed an “act of war” on American soil. The duty officer at his Tampa, Florida, headquarters on Oct. 11, 2011 told him that the attorney general and FBI director had held a press conference to announce the arrest of two Iranians who had planned a bomb attack on Cafe Milano, a high-end restaurant in Washington that was a favorite of the rich and famous, including Saudi Arabia’s ambassador, Adel al-Jubeir.

Senior Political Correspondent David Drucker on the expanded Washington Examiner magazine

As Mattis writes in his book, “Attorney General Eric Holder said the bombing plot was ‘directed and approved by elements of the Iranian government and, specifically, senior members of the Qods Force.’ The Qods were the Special Operations Force of the Revolutionary Guards, reporting to the top of the Iranian government.”

Many pundits questioned the administration’s assessment that the Iranian government was involved in the plan. Despite Iran’s long history of overseas assassination plots, some observers were skeptical that the theocratic regime would attempt such an audacious attack.

Mattis is certain, however: “I saw the intelligence: we had recorded Tehran’s approval of the operation.”

“Had the bomb gone off, those in the restaurant and on the street would have been ripped apart, blood rushing down sewer drains. It would have been the worst attack on us since 9/11. I sensed that only Iran’s impression of America’s impotence could have led them to risk such an act within a couple of miles of the White House,” he writes. “Absent one fundamental mistake — the terrorists had engaged an undercover DEA agent in an attempt to smuggle the bomb — the Iranians would have pulled off this devastating attack. Had that bomb exploded, it would have changed history.”

The CENTCOM chief thought that point needed to be driven home to the public. “I believed we had to respond forcefully. My military options would raise the cost for this attack beyond anything the mullahs and the Qods generals could pay,” he writes. “First, though, the President had to go before the American people and forcefully lay out the enormous savagery of the intended attack. The American public — and the global public — had to understand the gravity of the plot.”

Mattis envisioned something like the moment that locked American sentiment against Germany in the First World War. “In March 1917, President Wilson received, via British intelligence, a copy of a telegram sent by German Foreign Secretary Arthur Zimmermann to the president of Mexico.” The Germans proposed an alliance that would see Mexico recovering parts of Texas and other states if it helped Germany on America’s entry into the war.

Photo-shopped or not, Mattis has leveled a charge of TREASON.

It should be handled appropriately.

There is an obvious truth that Mattis does not want to admit to himself:

Obama wanted Al Queda to win.

Which side of the fn highway do you drive on Mattis?

I can't understand the angst from individuals such as you who have their panties in a wad simply because he resigned his job under President Trump. You guys need to get a grip. If you were paying attention and maybe read his book, there is nothing the General has said that is derogatory towards President Trump.

His service and dedication to this country speak for itself.

I think the General is quite clear which side he drives on.

Mattis believes that his reaction to Cafe Milano bomb plot, as well as his opposition to pulling out of Iraq, contributed to his being fired by Obama. “In December 2012, I received an unauthorized phone call telling me that in an hour, the Pentagon would be announcing my relief,” Mattis writes. “I was leaving a region aflame and in disarray.”

Mattis believes that Iran was and still is the biggest threat in the region, and he predicted Obama’s failure to punish Tehran for an act of war just because he was desperate for a nuclear deal would come back to haunt the United States.

He and his wife never cared about this country, they cared about their own wealth and power. The problem and the sad part is that there are voters who still think he is great and cares

So, he wanted to start a war with Iran over a bombing that never took place.

Ate there once. Way overpriced. It's like I was paying to be seen, only there is no one who was going to take any particular notice. Of course that was long before Trump came along. I am sure if they knew I was a deplorable they would have run me out of the place and excoriated the folks who I was with for keeping such unsuitable company.

This was the bomb plot Iran’s Quds force planned in Mexico with the cooperation of a Mexican drug cartel. It involved car dealerships as I recall, as did the Pakistani IT cell that was running the House Democrat servers that Xavier Becerra helped ‘lose.’

Odongo and Big Mike were foisted upon the American People by BOTH parties in DC with little or no vetting and in complete disregard for our Constitution. You’re correct in that they only cared about themselves. They did NOTHING for black people except set race relations back about 100 years or so. Anyone who still thinks that POS is great is sick in the head.

The “Nuclear Deal” was the biggest crock of sh*t ever conceived by this asinine government. Those who signed off on it should be swinging and the money spent was pure theft of OUR money.

Mattis is a mixed bag. He criticizes both Obama and Trump because he’s programmed himself to think military assets stationed overseas in perpetuity is an order from on high.

He has criticized Trump for not factoring in the ‘continued good will’ that binds America to its allies.

What the hell does ‘continued good will’ mean?

Why was Mattis fired by Trump?

How was Trump able to show Mattis was an out-of-step hack?

I’ll answer all but first a few sentences about Trump’s history.

Trump is more than a managing builder. He’s a working stiff that can hang sheet rock with the best of them, seriously. His father Fred made his son work his frickin *ss off, Saturdays included. Young Donald was told he had to work for the electric foreman, the plumbing foreman, the framers and the whole gamut and that he wouldn’t advance until the trade pros certified him. In other words Donald is an experienced journeyman.

This was also Rickover’s style to which I and others were thrown in to see if we would survive. So I can understand where POTUS is coming from.

Secondly, Donald attended the NY Military Academy where he was subjected to a hardass drill sergeant that impacted him greatly in his life.

The long and short is Donald was not some princely fairy strutting around looking down on workers. He was one of them. And his military background sent him off to a lifetime pursuit of studying military history and strategy.

Donald’s IQ is also at the genius level. A blue collar billionaire genius is what he is who understands military tactics and strategies with the best of them.

Where does Donald get all his positivity from? How is it that a man can put up with the never-ending stream of bullsh*t in DC and still have good will in his heart?

His only downtime under the grueling work ethic of his father was on Sunday mornings at the Presbyterian Church in Queens. And who was the pastor?

Norman Vincent Peale.

Look him up. He wrote many famous books one of which was titled ‘The Power of Positive Thinking’.

So now we know.

But one more thing. When father Fred began to bring Journeyman Donald into the managerial and finance ranks, what did he train his son to do?

He trained his son to never take a manager’s word at face value, always slip off to the workers in the field and get their take too. That way Donald would not be insulated and prone to making bad decisions because getting the information from all levels would gain him the full view.

So President Trump lets it be known he wants these perpetual wars to end. He promised the American people he would destroy ISIS and bring the troops home.

Only Mattis looked at POTUS as a neophyte who didn’t know the reality. Mattis was wrong.

Trump asked Mattis how long would it take to defeat ISIS so that America’s troops could be brought home.

Mattis said at least two years and then gave the President an enormous budget figure to get it done.

As President Donald Trump sat alone over Christmas in the White House last year waiting for Democrats to get their *sses to work but who were instead off partying in the Virgin Islands, Florida, Belize, Costa Rica and so on, he secretly slipped out on AF-1 to fly into Iraq where it was so dangerous the runway lights had to be off. When the plane landed, the President immediately met commanders on the ground and he asked the same question:

How long will it take us to defeat ISIS?

The answer from the field commanders was that if given full authority to wage war on their terms, it would take 2 weeks.

Trump returned to the lonely White House and fired Mattis.

Now I come from a military family and I get Mattis. I get the mindset and I don’t wish him any disrespect. In contrast, my mother’s first cousin was a 4-star USMC General who was a WWII decorated hero for heroic actions in Guadalcanal. He was also famous for his simple words one of which he said “The reason I’m so mean is because I like to see things done right.”

But Mattis is a product of the Vietnam ‘police action’ and not the WWII ‘kill every last one of them and kill ‘em again to be sure’.

I imagine Mattis was effective in his way of doing things. His way of doing things was not so much kill, kill, and kill again as it was to set up a military business model that had business operations, administrators, executives, PR professionals, and lots and lots and lots of money sloshed around to locals and regional top dogs who came to think they could get rich from America’s military presence, the American military was awesome, etc. etc. etc.

That was Mattis.

So Eddie01 is Ok to fire away at Mattis but he’s got to know why it’s Ok.

Me, I would hold my fire. There’s not much political capital to gain by taking down Mattis and like the writer hints at, the democrats would love to have Mattis squawking against TRUMP for the 2020 upcoming drama.
