now, if we could follow common sense and just TAKE THEM OFF THE STREETS and make them abide by common decency and the law, then it would be a crisis to learn they die younger than average....but we aren't allowed to do that.....

May I ask why you took the time and trouble to become a citizen if you don’t like democracy?
Your point about a capable person being rarely electable and an electable person is rarely capable is a good observation. The country has always had vote-buying, but it was largely limited to a cigar or a whiskey on election day. The big problems started in the 1930s under FDR when Democrats began giving away huge amounts of money (for a so-called “social safety net”) and discovered they could built a reliable voting bloc by giving away our tax dollars to “the needy.” Instead of making people self-reliant, it made them government-reliant and we have permanent, multi-generational poor.
Yes, democracy is messy and, yes, it is imperfect. But I agree with Mr. Churchill. What other system would you suggest is better?

The causes of death are almost always opioid overdose, or dehydration after drinking a 1/2 gal of whiskey and no water over 2-3 days. And sometimes they get cut by somebody trying to steal their liquor or dope.

And the politicians continue to talk about “solutions”, when there really is only one: the Elephant In The Room. That Elephant is a return to a culture in which children are raised in traditional homes with traditional values. It may never come again, and if it does, it will be a slow turn. A reversal on court cases pertaining involuntary placement in mental facilities would also be needed. Our courts have put on the street thousands upon thousands of people who truly need around the clock care or observation. They’re now out fending for themselves in a Lord of The Flies nightmare.
I weep for our nation. All of our cities are third world sh*tholes and in many cases much worse and the left does not care one iota as our replacement people keep swarming in and “progressive” Socialism is rotting the brains of over half the electorate. Eventually,the only answer will be the Union dissolving and/or a another civil war which will not be civil.American CWII will make Syria look civil.
