Boaters and jet skiers, wear the kill switch.

I wear in on the jet ski because its stupid not to. But on my pontoon boat it would be quite stupid.

I have a 40 ft sailboat with a 44 hp diesel engine.

Are they saying I have to have a kill switch too?

Actually, there is one on the engine and right now it’s the only way to turn off the engine. We need to replace the button in the cockpit....along with other things. She is 30+ years old now. Built like a rock.

We’re in Savannah, GA right now, being stalked by a turtle. Hoping the turtle is detracted enough to go way out to sea.

your boat could then violently stay in motion depending on the speed that is already set in.”

My cousin built a house on a small island off the coast in northern Panama. One day he was out fishing when he fell overboard while the boat was in a slow troll. It took him 45 minutes of swimming to catch up to the boat which fortunately was not heading in a straight line but rather in a curved direction.

After realizing he couldn't catch it directly, he had to intercept it on its course. When he finally did, he was too exhausted to climb into the boat and had to rest on the rear swim platform until he had enough energy to climb in.

The Exon Valdes disaster could have been avoided if that drunken bastard had been so equipped.
