ODESSA, Texas — UPDATE: ACTIVE SHOOTER REPORTED STAY INDOORS FOR BOTH cities

Police confirm a second shooter is in the areas driving a stolen mail van.

Officials are responding to an active shooter in Odessa.

According to the Department of Public Safety, the shooter is in all Gold Passenger car armed with a rifle and headed from Odessa to Midland.

Several people [now reporting 30 shot in Midland and Odessa] have been injured including police and civilians.

The situation began when a DPS trooper pulled over a vehicle. The driver reportedly shot the trooper and drove away firing at multiple people. There were multiple scenes and multiple victims. The suspect then allegedly stole the mail truck and drove to The Cinergy movie theater complex. Police engaged the suspect and shot killed. At least 21 shooting victims and five people dead, the Odessa Police Chief Michael Gerke said.

I assume you know that a Chicago urban killing does not affect people the same way a mass killing affects people who like them are just going about their day bothering no one.

Sorry, I don't get that. Maybe you see some kind of big difference between a mom and her kids getting shot in Texas and a mom and her kids getting shot in Chicago. I am sure their families, friends, and neighbors are just as bereaved and upset in Chicago as they are in Texas.

Now it is possible that cynical leftists trying to disarm the American public think mass killings of white people, children, Hispanics or other groups will advance their cause, so they are reported and treated differently. And it is likely that the perpetrators of many of these mass shootings are doing so for their own twisted political reasons. We know that because they tell us so.

Of course the government is capable of it, but they don’t need to do it because there are so many disturbed folk running around now.

This means there’s a social problem, which is that if you live in a society where you’re a white man and white men are attacked and ridiculed constantly, where there are none of the former emotional or social connections, where the only standard of success for men seems to be how many women they can trash - and if you’re a woman, how many men you can trash and how many abortions you can have - the more fragile of them are going to run off the rails. No government conspiracy needed.

I’ve been reading the reports and these people don’t sound like your ordinary criminals but people who are on a mission. Your ordinary perps don’t ride around shooting at everyone on the street. Look for an early obfuscation by law enforcement. Give it a few days to mature. In the meantime the usual suspects will be pushing for total gun confiscation and gulags for offenders. That’s us people.
