To the unaware, that stuff sounds like a good thing, when in fact it’s stating, in veiled terms, its mission of pushing pre-digested right-think designed to discourage any questions.

I think that’s the question we all ask ourselves every day and leaves us scratching our heads. Nothing they do/say makes any sense to logical, normal human beings. How can they be so dumb/numb to their own behavior?

I will go out on a limb and say that I don’t think they believe a word of what they’re writing - if it gets under someone’s skin - in this case, the president’s, then their objective has been met.

That is an excellent description of many of us, allied with President Trump to expose the Fake News Generators working for the Fake News outlets.

Perhaps you heard about Trump’s luncheon meeting with the Pope on a yacht anchored on the Potomac. The Pope’s mitre was blown into the water by a gust of wind and Trump said: “Let me get that your you, Your Eminence.” whereupon he vaulted over the edge of the boat, walk on top of the water over to the mitre, picked it up, walked back to the yacht, jumped back onto the yacht, and handed the mitre back to the Pope.

The headlines the next day: “Trump Can’t Swim”

IIRC Lyndon Johnson (born on Aug. 27 like me) was the butt of the same "POTUS can't swim" joke, without any reference to any clergy.
