Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) refused to budge on her controversial support for Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation last year, and now the consequences of that decision may be coming home to roost.
In an interview with Politico published Monday, the senator acknowledged that her 2020 reelection bid will inevitably be affected by her decision to vote for Kavanaugh after Christine Blasey Ford accused him of sexually assaulting her when they were in high school, but Collins stood behind that choice.
“Have I lost some votes because of my decision to support Justice Kavanaugh? Yes, I have. And I’m sad about that because I explained in great depth my decision-making,” she said before adding that there is still “an appreciation in Maine for someone who looks at the facts of an issue, votes with integrity and independence.”

Agree. Any libtard who is unhappy with her vote on Kavanaugh was never going to vote for Collins anyway. Maine is going to be a tough haul for any GOP candidate, it becomes more blue every year as liberals move in from other parts of the east coast.
She's my finger-in-the-wind Senator (pray for me) and she's not used to voicing firm support for Republicans.
She's a Dem in Rep clothing.

After our wonderful Governor Paul LePage was term limited out, the state was taken over by insane Dems via their "rank-choice voting" that stole the second district vote from our Republican Representative and that was that.
Governor LePage is supposed to be running against the current Commie governor next time around.

I’m up in Maine every summer. I see endless Trump signs on trucks and on front lawns (we vacation far up the coast). I’ve even seen Confederate flags flown. And yet the state goes Dem. Strange!

Technically no one yet as no one can start collecting sits to get on the ballot until January 1, 2020. Susan Collins has not actually declared that she is running.

Unless Lindsey Graham talks to Sue to advise her, she just may pull one of her phony resist acts, and vote against Amy.
I was watching the way she was looking at Sen Graham, and it looked close to adoration. Surprised me.
But for her to say her numbers may be going down because of her Kavanaugh vote is total...as DOJ says...lack of candor.
Their higher population overwhelms normal folks like fire ants come election time.
Add in the voter fraud that we're assured has never, not once, occurred here so say our overlords. For example, there is no way out-of-state students are voting in Maine. No-sirree. Just ask them.
Yes, I know Portland and surrounds are nutty as a fruitcake. I can never wait to get past that town. So sad, it is such a beautiful, rural state. Here in hot Alabama, I’m thinking about Maine!!

Summer seems to last 4-5 months here. I don't mind it because we all have central a/c. But it does get monotonous.

When I was a kid, I had a friend whose father worked for the B & M Railroad. I wondered why a railroad was selling beans. There were other days when I wondered why a bean company was operating a railroad. In my defense, I was still young enough to believe in the tooth fairy.
One would rationally think she would have lost more votes if she did not support Kavanaugh?
We'll find out next year in November I would assume.
