I have to disagree with you, and not just on Gibsons. I think Kamala Harris generates a very subliminal feeling of dislike in many, many constituencies. She may come off well as a fighter on an episodic basis. But overall I remain convinced that she has very low appeal. And it is embedded in her personality and so I don’t think she is going to be successful.... just my opinion.
I also disagree that HRC lost blacks as the triggering item that cost her the election. I think it was women. Because for every one of those deplorables that HRC pronounced, there was a wife. And she presented a choice: you either love your husband or you love me. AND those women, emotional as they may be, had to decide who were they were going to wake up with everyday, Hillary or their husband.
Hillary had also offended a great many women because if she’s going to be elected as an outstanding example of a woman, her behavior as a fanatical liar has to be placed into that pot of characteristics that are exemplary. Women already felt that Trump was a liar. But it gradually became clear that Hillary was every bit as much of a liar As Trump, and I think that that eroded her support among women. But I believe it all comes down to that “deplorable” comment, with the effect that I mentioned, but even further, with the knowledge that she had NO REASON to make such a comment. She had absolutely nothing to gain by making that comment. Which means that she had no control over her own ability to make such a comment in the first place. Everyone who was going to vote for her was going to vote for her and everyone who was not going to vote for her was not going to vote for her. The DNC had already announced that they had written off the white men in the midwest. Now, suddenly, they’re ready to write off all the wives of those white men. I believe very strongly that that “deplorable” comment cost her the election. On the spot.

hogwash. the real disconnect is between rank and file Dems and the gaggle of lunatic kommie candidates like Bernie, when he proclaims things like “Fossil fuel executives should be criminally prosecuted for the destruction they have knowingly caused.”

Now see here buddy, when you start out by trashing Gibson, a fine American Guitar maker, you are starting out on shaky ground. That said, you make very some good points and there are several reasons the witch lost. Certainly the deplorables remark was one of the dumbest things a candidate has ever done. Many women saw her as a lying manipulator. add to that her weak support among blacks and we got Trump praise the Lord.
