If he’s nominated Biden will have to tasks a VP candidate who will bring back their base. Warren I think.

Harris seems more likely. Joe’s support with blacks is very soft and he will need a big black turnout. I think as much as anything lack of enthusiasm from the blacks sunk HRC

The dems have this situation going on this cycle. Real opinion polls for the dem nomination would offer "NOTA" as an option. The results would probably be devastating, because if appears that the only consistent opinion dem voters have is "Not Trump". And they have seen how that has turned out for Paul Ryan and people like him.
Eventually the dems will select somebody to be on the ballot in 2020. And that person will join Adlai Stevenson in 1956, Walter Mondale in 1984, and (pick your favorite) to be the designated loser.
I sometimes listen to a black talk station and the enthusiasm for Joe is not there, without the perceived electability he has he would be in single digits. The blacks like Harris but do not think she can win the general. Therefore as VP they get some of what they want and creepy Joe gets a needed boost.

Yesterday, Joe Biden brought a cheering crowd of almost 3 dozen fans to it's feet in New Hampshire.
Of course, Creepy Joe is not a "true believer", so maybe the eventual nominee will be someone else more "electable". Massive election fraud and Google algorithms will have to fill in the necessary blanks for him/her/cis to win but no doubt that is the plan.
I have a theory that a lot of black MEN would vote for a Klansman before they would ever vote for a black woman. This might explain the very weak support Harris has even in her own state.
