It will be worth it, if we have enough nerve and the will to follow through on it. But do our fellow Americans have the will to fight, or are too many (including fake conservatives) leaning too far to the anti-American left? We would need a will to fight to surpass that of our foreign enemies. We would need to be more like our forefathers instead of being like a population of 68ers and illegitimate children.

If this approach had been taken with China from the very beginning of when they were making the moves to open themselves up to the world for closer economic ties, all of the political reforms those who promoted greater ties to China assured us would occur probably would have actually happened ((indeed, I would not be surprised if I posted those same hopes and beliefs back at the time on threads where this topic may have been discussed) - by now, over the course of 20+ years, China would likely be more like Hong Kong, instead of Hong Kong becoming more like its now host country. What an incredible shame this is. It is both very sad and maddening to think about what could have and probably would have been.

China is politically a threat to be taken seriously and dealt with seriously. But economically, China is an easy straw-man. Part of the reason is the confusion between the free market and national political sovereignty and the Lying Leftist Media helps keep that confusion going.

Hmm...changing tactics on us. CNN must be hedging that this will ultimately hurt Trump, so they are rooting it on. It doesn’t mean they are right, but it could be what they are thinking.
