Well, along the same line as a nuzzlin' joe comment, just one word: "ben and jerrys and barnie sanders."

Vermont tried to implement a state-wide universal healthcare system. It was an abject failure.

...Charles Murray and a Middlebury professor were insulted and assaulted there in 2016...I saw part of a Q&A with this professor in C-Span not long ago - superficially she sounded quite sane - she's for open communication on campus, feels sympathy for conservative professors who are afraid to speak out at Middlebury and elsewhere, wants people to be responsible for what they say and advocate - drilling down a bit though and the going gets rough - she has a rule in her classroom that anytime a student says something that offends another, the offendee gets to halt the class discussion and ask for an apology from the offender, who must apologize - the offender apparently can then return to talking about whatever it was that offended to begin with - I wish that Brian Lamb, the interviewer, had asked her if the offender had to recant whatever he had said that started the trouble or if it was understood that he was permitted to continue to hold the same beliefs - and why she didn't just have all students stipulate at the beginning of every class that they were sorry if they offended anyone to save time - I think she went 'round the bend long ago......

Vermont used to be a good place to live until liberals from Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and NYC invaded them.
