Indeed...as mentioned in books about the Beatles and on wikipedia, etc., for those who don’t know...the Beatles were tripping on acid and Peter Fonda was a guest at their party. “I know what it’s like to be dead,” he said, and showed off his gunshot wounds from his youth. He had been pronounced clinically dead.
John was on a high and wanted none of this negative talk. “Who put all this (crap) in your head? You’re making me feel like I’ve never been born.” They tired of “boring” Peter and ejected him from the party. John said in 1980 he didn’t even really know who the guy was...Easy Rider hadn’t come out yet (it was in ‘65). So this inspired the lyrics of She Said She Said (John changing He to She)
