My dad hated their dad.

Now I hate them :)

It’s a generational vendetta between Italians!

LMAO. Freepers who aren’t familiar with the NYC metro area may not know that the bridge is the Gov. Mario Cuomo Bridge.

My dad hated their dad.

"Mario, assenza me! Tu sei un proprio sfaccim."

As the late, great Bob Grant used to say.

"It will always be the Tappan Zee Bridge to me😀🇺🇸🇺🇸" Me as well but I moved to SC where MAGA and some KAG are routinely seen so I really don't give a sh*t.

Yes, it means he’s a lowlife.

I miss Bob Grant.

"My dad hated their dad."

I hated their Dad. I worked for the State in Corrections, and he was a slime ball. If he didn't get his way, he had temper tantrums. His kids are just like him.

"It will always be the Tappan Zee Bridge to me."

Tappan is supposed to be derived from a Native American term. Zee means sea in Dutch. I've been tracing my family history, and discovered that my 10th great grandfather was Peter Minuet, who bought the island of Manhattan from the Indians. He died in a storm at sea near what is now St. Kitt's. If he had a grave, I'm sure he'd be rolling over in it, to see what has happened to Manhattan under the liberals.

My father was born in Holland, and my mother in Canada. I was surprised to find that my DNA shows 70% England, Wales, and Northwestern Europe, it also shows 25% Germanic Europe, 3% Norway, and 2% Sweden. Minuet was originally born in Wesel, Germany, is from my mother's side, some of who ended up in Canada, having originally settled in New Amsterdam. I have Loyalists, and Patriots on both sides of her family.

And no one, but no one, who lives in the area calls it the Mario Cuomo Bridge.

Interesting...in the 1970s, my dad said the Dutch got ripped off when they bought Manhattan from the Indians. I wonder if New Amsterdam was strong what America would be like today. Hartford would be Houshope (House of Hope) in Dutch, I’d guess,.

My Dad always called potholders, and kitchen mitts “hand shoes.” We used to laugh at him about it. But it wasn’t until a short while ago that I discovered the Dutch name for gloves is “handschoe.” He didn’t speak Dutch at home, only when he was swearing, and then of course none of us knew what he was saying.
