As Congress wrestles with how to respond to a wave of mass shootings, leading Democrats are raising an idea once viewed as political suicide: reviving the ban on assault weapons, which barred Americans from purchasing certain military-style firearms for a decade until Republicans let it expire in 2004.
The idea is gaining traction on the presidential campaign trail, where former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr., an architect of the original 1994 assault weapons ban, and nearly all of the other Democratic candidates have embraced it. In an opinion piece published Monday in The New York Times, Mr. Biden vowed to make the 1994 law “even stronger,” adding, “We have to get these weapons of war off our streets.”

How about we ban assault weapons from the left? Maybe it’s time we consider the only government employees that should be allowed to have a firearm are those in the Military? Everyone else gets pepper spray and that’s it. I know, some will say what about protecting the President? The answer, private security firms employing civilians. This may sound ridiculous but where is the Constitutional authority given to the government to empower thousands of agents in dozens of non military agencies with military weapons or any weapons for that matter?
Are we not getting tired of something happening and the TV running 24/7 showing legions of cops and federal agents all standing around in full on military grade camo and carrying full auto M16’s and H&K MP5s? The scene after El Paso was utterly nauseating. Some of those guys had night vision equipment on their helmets in broad daylight and it was long after the shooter was in custody. Worse yet is not one of these guys has ever stopped a criminal using those military machine guns. Nope they only pull those out for show long after the event is over. We are looking more like a commie police state everyday.
Why are we allowing our government to be armed to this degree? They are all leftists and they are getting more and more bold with their power.
So maybe we really do need to talk about some gun bans. How about we ban leftist government alpha bet soup goons from having firearms? They won’t be so eager for gun confiscation when all they have is pepper spray. And yes we can do this, after all we are the boss here and they work for us, not the other way around.
They want to ban all guns and then the Bible.
Assault Weapon - noun, Any current legally held weapon whose owner is obeying the law or opposes Democrat issues.
