when it comes to sex any and all guys should be doing freaking ID Checks on any female looking under the age of 30.
If a girl is underage and looks, as you say, 20+ AND has a phony id claiming she is over 18 that STILL does not get a guy off the hook.
This according to my ex brother in law who was a detective in NYC.
I realize that and therein lies the rub.
He or she should not be charged/convicted if it can be shown the other participant can be shown to have convincingly lied and manufactured/used false ID.
At some point the young girl/or boy does bear responsibility.
It’s call PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY for a reason.
And this is why I actually encourage folks to do background checks on everyone before they start dating.

My beloved tells him to get a pre-nuptial though in many states it’s not accepted in Divorce Court.
Much of what you say is true but unfortunately there is that expression, “The law is an ass”.
Law used to be based on common sense, sadly that is no longer the case.
