Walmart Worker Asks 1000s of Fellow Employees to ‘Sick Out’ over Gun Sales
Breitbart ^ | 08/07/2019 | aw

A worker at Walmart corporate is asking thousands of fellow employees to take part in an organized “sick out” over the retail giant’s gun and ammo sales. CNN reports that Thomas Marshall, one of three employees organizing the walkout, sent a message on a Slack and email chain “that included about 20,000 people.”

The message said:

In light of recent events, and in response to Corporate’s inaction, we are organizing a “sick out” general strike to protest Walmart’s profit from the sale of guns. Walmart is a company that has always placed its associates and customers first, and we have recently made great strides toward fostering a safe, inclusive, and progressive community. Last year, Walmart raised the minimum age to buy a firearm or ammunition from 18 to 21 and removed products resembling assault-style rifles from its inventory. Walmart is still, however, the single largest retailer of firearms in the United States.

It not like he brought the firearm there and then turned around and used it.

If she isn’t fired over this there isn’t any hope for Walmart.

It’s not really about guns.

It’s about unions.

Gun control is a fig leaf.

Well, seeing how the waltons have been behaving, there might be some caving on this. Due to the intergalactic background check law recently put in place in NM, walmarts there no longer sell guns. So, driving dealers out of business is A-Okay.

When did Walmart start selling guns again? Even ammo is restricted.

fostering a safe, inclusive, and progressive community.

O, by the way, in Orang county California, an armed robber stabbed four people to death an injured 2 others. Maybe its time we had a national conversation about sensible knife control laws....

Our Walmarts (California) haven’t sold guns in years. Hubby got a heckuva deal on one he’d been wanting when they were lowering prices to get rid of them.

In light of recent events, we’ve taken an opportunity to review our policy on firearm sales. Going forward, we are raising the age restriction for purchase of firearms and ammunition to 21 years of age. We will update our processes as quickly as possible to implement this change.

In 2015, Walmart ended sales of modern sporting rifles, including the AR-15. We also do not sell handguns, except in Alaska where we feel we should continue to offer them to our customers. Additionally, we do not sell bump stocks, high-capacity magazines and similar accessories. We have a process to monitor our eCommerce marketplace and ensure our policies are applied.

Hmmm, lets see. You knew Walmart sold guns and ammo when you applied for the job yet you jumped with joy when they called to say you got the job. You went to work every day for the past however long but suddenly you want to protest a product Walmart is selling which provides you a paycheck. Tommy, you’re all kids of stupid and a hypocrite. If you don’t like Walmart merchandise, then turn in your resignation, go away and shut up.
