Washington, DC — The American Firearms Coalition has just released an online poll of more than 20,000 gun owners conducted over the last 18 hours indicating that 65% of gun owners say they will not vote for President Trump if he signs “Red Flag Gun Confiscation” into law.

Online polls are worthless.
They will vote for the dems instead?
Doubt it.
But by not voting for DJT that’s essentially a vote for the other side, who want to take your guns no question asked.

Those laws are a big problem.
Thus guaranteeing a Democrat victory and the confiscation of their guns.
It will depend if the red flag laws adequately protect the rights of the accused and give proper due process.
If there’s one hill to defend, even more so than illegal invaders, it’s this one.
I hope he doesn’t sign such legislation but it be moronic to let Democrats back into power and put judges on SCOTUS that would redefine the Second Amendment to apply only to militias.

I’m not aware of any abuses in my state.
President Trump doesn’t always follow through on what he says. I hate it when that happens on most cases but strongly oppose red flag laws. However, having a marxist democrat in the white house is not the answer to being unhappy with Trump over one or two issues.
I’m not sure how he’d do it. The senate should stop any bill.
An EO would be extremely broad to do this and probably overturned by USSC.
Also the only EO to rival it would be Reagan’s machine gun ban, his worst move by far.
Yeah. while the poll may be accurate, when the rubber hits the road I wonder what that actual percentage, who follow through on their threat, drops to?

I like the suggestion of chants at his rallies of “No Red Flag Laws”.
Trump kicked it back to Congress to write legislation. The Democrats don't have the will nor the votes to pass gun control legislation, because they need the issue to keep their kook fringe base activated.
Even if it does passes and gets signed by POTUS, it'll get tied up in the courts anyway.
Not saying that I support Red Flag laws, but what is Trump supposed to say after back-to-back horrific mass shootings?
Massive problem. No mechanisms for abuse and false charges. No recorse for being targeted by those who hate you.
I am not at all shocked that the prospect of Red Flag laws upsets a majority of gun owners. Whether or not that many would follow through and abstain from voting for Trump is another matter but Red Flag laws are anathema to our Bill of Rights.
So they’ll vote for dems who will take guns away from everyone. Makes sense to me.
