I was there in the late 80’s and met a few American ladies teaching English. We had a wonderful time. It was a thriving modern city with every amenity and a robust night life. I wish them luck in their quest to restore freedom.
I was there in 2008 met an American lady that lived in Kowloon full time that taught English. Sat next to her on the plane I had a great time as well. Never seen so much food in my life.
My sister works in HK for an international bank and I go there every year. God knows how many conversations I had there with the locals and most I spoke with have a deep hatred for China..
