I was talking to a local about the Hawks and my chickens. His response was, nobody’s gonna know. Fortunately, it. Didn’t have to come to that. We have a couple of Hawks that sit on the fence posts next to where my driveway leaves my house.
BRW, if you have over ten acres, you don’t need a hunting license if you hunt on your own property.
I’m sure the law is different in every State, regarding land ownership and hunting. Seasons and bag limits should still apply. think that exceptions are made for controlling wildlife that is committing acts of predation, as well. Between “ fur -bearers,” migratory birds protected by treaties, game animals protected by hunting season and bag limit regulations, threatened and endangered species, and whatever else they care to designate, it pays to know the rules. The three S’s often apply
And, as always, there is the general assholery of some people to consider. Every few years a snowy owl will venture southward into the local sand dunes. Invariably, you hear about some shithead shooting it. Also, outlaw bow-hunters can be an issue, apart from just plain old poachers.

Nope, still in the same place. We want to move but there’s nothing available in TOWN. The youngest Daughter has been looking for a month plus. She needs a place first because it looks like they are going to have to Hotel it for a while.

yeah Wally’s is swamped thurs night-fri morning/afternoon but unless they are staying in town it’s empty and virtually nobody comes down from the tract at night anymore...
they do everything they can to keep them there from sobriety check points at the gates to no entry after 10pm
