If Phil Murphy had his way, all gun sales in N.J. would be limited to ‘smart guns’
Newark Star-Ledger ^ | July 23, 2019 | Matt Arco

It’s “too early to tell” if New Jersey will limit firearms sales in the state to only include so-called smart guns, Gov. Phil Murphy said Monday.

But if it was up to him, smart guns would be the only type of guns people here would be able to purchase.

“Yes. I hope it does get to that,” Murphy said during his monthly “Ask the Governor” program hosted by News 12 New Jersey.

So everyone would have to wear an identification ring, and batteries would have to be checked constantly? Let me guess... a bedside Qi charging station for your handgun?

Once you get a “Smart Gun”, all you need is access to deactivate it.
Its pretty easy to wire in a Wifi chip to respond to a coded signal once they mandate “Smart Guns”

Keeps Cops and Politicians from getting shot.
No one else.

Politicians need to know that revolvers are easy to make.

Politicians also need to know that the Confederacy used saltpeter made from urine and manure.

“The people” can always make and use firearms.

Always!

Tony Soprano and all his kind are smiling, nodding their heads and saying “Hey, great idea Phil... go for it!”

“Smart people would get out of new jersey.”

I did, almost 20 years ago.

Funny story about that. As my wife and I passed the “Welcome to Delaware” sign on the bridge on the way out, I turned to her and said, “Well, now you don’t have to worry about bailing me out of jail.” She looked at me with pie-eyes and asked me what I was talking about. I explained the NJ “Assault Weapons” ban on magazines over 15 rounds (now 10). She asked how many I had. I said, “Sitting 18 inches behind my ass is about 200 years worth in Rahway State Prison.” And then I smiled. She turned as white as a sheet and said nothing for about 30 seconds (very unusual for her, trust me), and then asked if “they” had laws like that in Texas. “No, babe, Texas is in America.”

Don’t be ridiculous. These ‘smart guns’ would require a special non-rechargable batteries only available at your local democratic campaign office at a nominal cost.

Smart guns and a dumb governor have one thing in common - they are a big FAIL!

Uh, take it me as a revolver owner, machinist and designer that revolvers are not at all easy to make. You need machine tools and expertise.

On the other hand, a homemade single-shot, single-use pistol is quite doable for someone with a bit of skill with common tools.

Heck, all they need to do is come up with a device that makes all guns inoperative in gun free zones.
