Former Vice President Joe Biden unveiled a plan on Tuesday to reform the U.S. criminal justice system by lowering incarceration rates, ending the federal death penalty and eliminating racial disparities in how people are sentenced.
Biden, the Democratic front-runner in the partys nominating contest to take on Republican President Donald Trump in next years election, has faced criticism over his support for a 1994 crime bill that some say contributed to mass incarceration, especially of black men.
That bill, signed into law by former Democratic President Bill Clinton when Biden was a U.S. senator, greatly increased funding for the construction of new federal prisons and included a 'three strikes' provision, which required a mandatory life sentence for a person guilty of committing a severe, violent felony after two previous convictions.

Slow Joe fired up his hair plugs and decided to pander to blacks by giving them what they want and need most ... affirmative action for prison sentencing ...
Heck, all we have to do is make sure that whites commit as many crimes as people of color in proportion to population.
Then the laws would work AND be fair.
After all, we can't have any inequity anywhere, can we?
“Sounds like a plan to me...so under the new system only white folks will be convicted of crimes. “
Someone should tell Reuters that Biden was out of the race the day he garbled an unintelligible response to a reporters question. It wasn’t 13 seconds, it was a minute if incoherent mush from a older man not capable of competing at this level.
Look at White Joe pander for the black vote.
What a pitiful fool.
As no blacks can be racist, we will now have nothing a black does can be illegal. /s
Since (as I understand it) most crimes committed by blacks is against other blacks. So tell me again Biden how this really helps the black community?
By making blacks commit less crime? Dream on, joe!
Is he going to get his KKK buddies to help with that?
“...rounding up Conservatives and executing them.”
This is the prison version of the “don’t expel black kids from schools” that Obama implemented.
The result was schools couldn’t get rid of the “problem children” and teachers and school principals had to allow the little baby thugs to run amok without consequences. All the rest of the kids could learn nothing.
Criminal version is dump a bunch of “non-violent offenders” back on the streets to go deal drugs and other useful things they were up to before they went to jail.
Also ironic as these folks are in prison because of a bill Biden supported and gave his infamous feral children speech while in the Senate.
So, an outdated career politician is touting a plan to address the ills of a plan he helped implement in the first place. Im shocked.
The cancer of social justice in the prison system. What could go wrong?
In this case, it doesn’t matter. Harris, Warren, and the others are saying “Why didn’t I think of that?” and will shortly attempt to outbid Creepy Uncle Joe.
The Joker from Batman?

Just put AOC in as AG and have her advise Biden on who to appoint to the bench exclusively from Harlem and the Bronx.
And while you’re at it have AOC appoint federal political officers in every police department across the nation, ensuring the expansion of sanctuary cities and towns.
Make sure the 2nd amendment rights are only available to liberal fascists like ANTI FA, by having all local police departments do background checks for anyone possessing a firearm in their jurisdiction, eliminating any 2nd amendment rights in conservatives.
Sounds like a great plan Joe. When will you hire me for your campaign?(Super sarc.)
Make more laws to imprison whitey. Ignore the crimes committed by people of color.
