The New York Times and Washington Post used the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 space flight and moon landing to push a political knife fight, said Robert Charles, spokesperson for the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC), in a Wednesday interview on SiriusXMs Breitbart News Tonight with hosts Rebecca Mansour and Joel Pollak.
On Wednesday, the New York Times framed the Apollo program as a failure in terms of female astronautical participation.
In an article titled, To Make It to the Moon, Women Have to Escape Earths Gender Bias, the New York Times claimed, The Apollo program was designed by men, for men. But NASA can learn from its failures as it aims to send women to the moon and beyond.
The Washington Post similarly highlighted the demographic composition of the 1960s-era space program as largely white and male, stating it was difficult to spot a person of color in photos of the programs teams.

Hey, womyn have always lead the way in Everything.
Let’s send Rapinoe, Tlaib, Mullah Omar and the rest of Satan’s whores to the moon. Bang, Zoom...
That sounds like the worst of the worst of B movies.
It might be informative to have the NYT and that other paper produce their Employee records of 50 years ago to show how many women THEY were employing and in WHAT jobs (typing pool or cafeteria staff aren’t quite the same as ‘journalists’ and editors ...)
I wouldnt give a plugged nickel for these peoples lives In the future when enough people know how they have been lied to by them and how much they have damaged our country.
The additional problem is that that student has no compunction to move along. Just so long as he sets the pace, which is a virtual stop.
The Apollo program was designed by men, for men.
Shows that women were not necessary,,,bet that just pisses them right the hell off.
You could conduct additional research to find out how many articles or editorials were published in the NY Times or Washington Post during the same period advocating for women astronauts.
At this point we can't even put a man into orbit, even with Trump in the White House.
We are permanently out of the game, I'm afraid.
Everything is political in today’s USA. Past events, which cannot be changed, are painted over as racist/sexist/homophobe/headchoppophobe by people who hate the USA and its past greatness.
“Remember sitting in class with eyes glazed over in boredom because the pace of the class was set by the slowest student? The libs would be perfectly happy to stall the countrys technological advancement until equality is achieved before allowing any individual independent progress.”
That’s the truth of it. I appreciate your comment!
While they are at it, why not denigrate the Wright brothers, Edison, the inventors of radio and TV, and Jonas Salk ..all white males and the white males that founded Apple and Microsoft.
“The Apollo program was designed by men, for men.
Shows that women were not necessary,,”
Somebody had to make sammiches, make coffee, empty ashtrays...
I am sure Melissa McCarthy will soon star in an all female movie version of the Apollo 11 moon landing to indulge the young snowflakes out there.
I am sure it bugs the hell out of them that most of the biggest inventors and brilliant minds of the past several hundred years were white and male. These people don’t even like it when an action hero in a movie is a white male.
These are people who look at pictures of people or groups of peopl and literally count how many “people of color” they see and get very frustrated and upset when that number isn’t high enough to them. And I’m not kidding, that’s literally what they do.
