Not saying you can judge a person by them...just caught me off guard, a cop having so many.
Whoever “rehired” him so he could get the pension for life (starting now, right?) should be fired for incompetence and stealing money from the public, IMO.

He was acquitted by a jury, so be it. But, he’s 28. Why the hell is he getting a pension for life when he obviously screwed up isn’t competent to be on a police force?

Well, you do know that they have a tough job. And they want to go home at night. He deserves a pension. As for him shooting him while he was begging for his life while sobbing or between sobs, don’t fret about that. He would have shot him if he had been standing on his head pleading for his life while bawling. If they put kill decals on the side of their patrol cars each time they took someone’s life, his car will be covered in them by the end of the month. He has killed once and gotten away with it, the next time will be easier.
How do you get a $2500/mo. pension at age 28?
Do a cop’s job for a while and then tell us how you would have reacted instead of acting as if you know for sure...of course, if they make the standard that as long as one is making the right noises and “might not be trying to distract for an opening”, a cop must wait until a perp withing 15 feet fires on them first, then you may have a case....for giving every suspect carte-blanche benefit of the doubt.
