Has Julian Castro ever spoke out against the Lone Star flag of Texas? One of the major reasons for Texas independence was the move to abolish slavery in Mexican territory including Texas.

The Texas Confederates marched behind the “Wigfall” flag. Texans used the Texas flag at every battlefield where they served the Confederacy. Castro is an ignorant race baiting pandering fool.

I wanted to share something that my husband, who is a descendant of Betsy Ross, wrote about her and her family:

“Betsy Ross was reared in a Quaker Family, and educated accordingly. Because of Quakers like her family and William Penn(sylvania), much of the State, especially the Western frontier, was anti-slavery.

One branch of the Rosses settled in a little crossroads named Pittsville, which was on the very route escaping slaves took to Canada—and, thus, it was also called Freedom, and is so named on maps today. The route, of course, was called the Underground Railway.

Those same Rosses—being direct kin of Betsy’s first husband, whose brother Thomas Ross signed the Declaration of Independence—hid (and fed and sheltered) escaping slaves in their cellars until the moon provided light for them to continue their journey. There was a risk for the Rosses and like-minded neighbors because there were pro-slavery sympathizers about.

Our Grandfather told us all this: The Rosses were his maternal grandparents, and raised him from childhood when his father passed away. Grandpa was proud of the Rosses and their courage, and proud of Betsy and her flag.
Thank you Betsy, thank you.”

Happy 4th of July, Patriots

I was wondering how can Julian Castro compare the Betsy Ross flag with the Confedrate flag, but then I remembered he was a democrat. Democrats say all kind of weird things. They are known for that. Still Betsy Ross’s flag, our first national symbol against the Confederate flag, you gotta be a real dipstick.

Sure, Dems, run in 2020 on bashing Betsy Ross and abolishing ICE. Good luck with that.

It makes me ill to see so many foreigners sitting in the House and Senate. They know nothing about America, they loathe America, and they’re making our laws.

Julian Castro is WELL KNOWN here in The Alamo City as a DUMB-bunny, “a fool in the public view” & an empty-head.
(It just goes to show you that just because a person graduated from college that they may have actually learned ZILCH.)

Remember that Castro’s mother was one of the founders of the racist, revolutionary anti-American “La Raza” movement.

Just to be historically accurate, there is absolutely no proof that Betsy Ross designed or sewed the first American flag with a circular constellation of stars. There is no proof that the “Betsy Ross” style of flag was even the first design.

The earliest datable rendition of the American flag was engraved on Continental Army artillerist belt tips excavated at the Pluckemin Artillery Park archaeological site in New Jersey. This site was occupied by American troops during the winter of 1778-79.

These belt tips (there are now 4 documented examples) all show the star constellation to be three parallel horizontal rows (5 stars over 3 stars over 5 stars).

Castro is an idiot. A racist idiot. His mother was a founder of racist LaRaza.
A Mexican/American that can’t read off a Mexican food menu.

Thousands of Mexican/Americans fought for the Confederacy and you can bet some of them owned slavery.

"...the early flag design that represents the Thirteen Colonies evokes pain among some Americans..."

No it doesn't. When has anyone ever seen anyone be offended by the Betsy Ross flag?

Trump Jr. blasts Nike with photo of Soviet-style shoe design: 'More in line with their views'

FoxNews.com ^ | July 3, 2019 | Sam Dorman | Fox News

Donald Trump Jr. had a scathing critique of the athletic company Nike after it decided to pull a sneaker bearing a flag used during the American Revolution.

Instead of using that older version of the American flag, Trump Jr. suggested Nike should unveil a communist-style shoe looking similar to the hammer-and-sickle logo of the former Soviet Union.

"If the Betsy Ross Flag, the flag of the American Revolution, is too offensive for Nike to commemorate The 4th of July maybe Nike should go with this... seems to be more in line with their views," Trump Jr. tweeted on Wednesday.

His attack came as Nike faced mounting criticism over its decision to halt the release of a shoe that had the Betsy Ross flag because it could "unintentionally offend" people. ..."
