What a waste of Javelins. We give our guy Haftar, a former general under Gaddafi and a US citizen who spent decades in Virginia, expensive weaponry, but he can’t find a way to win.

Haftar is our guy. He lived round the corner from Langley for 2 decades. Problem is he either lacks popular support or competence. After how Karzai in Afghanistan and Allawi in Iraq turned out, in terms of being spectacularly incompetent, no one’s rushing to commit to Haftar until he shows he can at least win with the superior weaponry he’s been given, without the crutch of on-call unlimited air strikes by Uncle Sam. So far, he’s still slugging away.
