On Saturday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “PoliticsNation,” 2020 Democratic presidential candidate former Vice President Joe Biden questioned President Trump’s account of the decision to not strike Iran by saying that the military doesn’t work that way.
Biden said, “If, in fact, the military did not brief him…[on] what was happening, I just don’t believe it. The military doesn’t do that. They sit down and say, Mr. President, do you want us to do A? … This is the consequence. Your decision, Mr. President. We recommend or not. But the idea that they would say to him when he said, go ahead and bomb and take out whatever they were going to take out and not tell him what the consequences would be, not possible. Simply not possible. The military does not function that way, whether or not there is a secretary of Defense.”

Of course Trump’s justification of the pullback was not possible. That’s because the true reason can’t be revealed. Biden should be aware of the flow of intelligence going to the President. What Biden won’t reveal is such intelligence is so sensitive that what it reveals can’t be disclosed.
I am sure President Trump received intelligence that told him the course he was going was a bad one. Perhaps he got information that a trap was set with the incident with hopes that Trump would fall for it. Giving the true reason for his pullback would jeopardize the nature of the intelligence he is in touch with. Because Trump’s justification is so out of step with reality, I think it sent a message to Iran that we are on to them.
No Biden that’s what the liberal military does to brief liberal leaders. Liberal military leaders may do anything....like the liberal FBI or the liberal CIA.
