Joe Biden Wants to Bring High-speed Rail to California — Again
Breitbart ^

Former vice president Joe Biden is proposing to restore California’s now-defunct high-speed rail project — just months after Gov. Gavin Newsom pulled the plug, and President Donald Trump pulled the funding.

Biden formerly championed high-speed rail with President Barack Obama as part of the 2009 “stimulus” package.

Joel Fox, commenting on California’s widely-read Fox & Hounds blog, noted the provision in Biden’s new plan to tackle climate change

In his Green Energy Plan, Biden said he would do the following:

"Spark the second great railroad revolution. Two centuries ago, the first great railroad expansion drove our industrial revolution. Today, the U.S. is lagging behind Europe and China in rail safety and speed. Biden will develop a plan to ensure that America has the cleanest, safest, and fastest rail system in the world – for both passengers and freight.

With respect to passenger rail: He’ll start by putting the Northeast Corridor on higher speeds and shrinking the travel time from D.C. to New York by half – and build in conjunction with it a new, safer Hudson River Tunnel.

He will make progress toward the completion of the California High Speed Rail project.

He will expand the Northeast Corridor to the fast-growing South. Across the Midwest and the Great West, he will begin the construction of an end-to-end high speed rail system that will connect the coasts, unlocking new, affordable access for every American."

Two centuries ago, the first great railroad expansion was a triumph of private enterprise.

How about Solyndra-powered high-speed rail to Hawaii?

That would be very Barack-Obama-ish.

The Democrats are going back to the 1800s apparently

Dems spent about 150 million on their choo-choo here called the smart train in Marin County -what a joke that is

This stupid “high-speed rail” that they were supposedly going to build from LA to San Francisco has always been nothing more than a money pot for planners designers architects engineers and everything you’ve already taken about $150 million and nothing repeat nothing has been done at all

I’ll these giant infrastructure projects are nothing more than Democrat money halls - member Obamas $800 million stimulus

I recently needed to buy train tickets from Berlin to Paris for my family and found out there is no direct train. I couldn’t believe it. So I bought tickets for a train from Austria that has beds and two changes.

Shut up, Joe. We don’t need it as designed. Stay out of our State budget distributions. Oregon might like it, though.

He'll eventually go all-Hillary. You know, promise to release the "truth about UFO's". (yes, she actually did that)

Even Hillary finds it quite uncomfortable:

If we are fortunate, the DNC will actually be stupid enough to nominate Joe Biden.

Yep, there’s nothing a liberal loves more than a railway project that costs $100 million per mile.

They’re not going to nominate Biden. He’s old school. (Well, not really, but he plays one on t.v.) He’s got a lot of political power, but the “new” democrat party is calling the shots, and they want someone who is radical, but can still be elected. Wouldn’t surprise me if they drafted the odious Michelle, whom, if you can believe the media, is wildly popular. You know, being so gorgeous and buff, not to mention a fashion icon...gag! Or Stacy “I have my own reality, and if you disagree, I’ll sit on you and squash you like a bug” Adams -— another immensely talented, blah blah blah disgusting creature. And I’m NOT a racist. I can name several black people who would make great candidates.
