Socialism, the True Gospel of Greed

“Tonight, we renew our resolve that America will never be a socialist country.”

That’s from President Donald Trump’s last State of the Union address. I’m sure many people found it as encouraging as I did, especially in light of surveys indicating that socialism is gaining popularity here in the United States.

And not just at the fringes. One recent Gallup poll showed 4 out of 10 Americans have a favorable impression of socialism. Almost half—47%—said they would vote for a socialist candidate for president.

But don’t despair just yet. The same poll also revealed that almost 2 out of every 3 Americans—62%—say that decisions about the economy should be left up to the free market, not the government. The same holds true when it comes to health care and higher education.

If you know anything about socialism, these results are completely contradictory. It’s obvious that a lot of people who say they favor socialism don’t understand what it is.

I find that somewhat encouraging. Not that so many people don’t understand what socialism is, of course, but that much of its apparent support is based on a misunderstanding. That certainly beats a genuine conviction that socialism is better.

If they understood what socialism is—“a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state,” to use Merriam-Webster’s definition—they would realize it’s the antithesis of free enterprise. That it’s the very opposite of freedom.

Many Americans who say they favor socialism clearly are hearing “socialism” and thinking of it instead as a way to fix whatever societal woes are bothering them.

It’s about control of EVERY aspect of the individual’s life.

The “Progressives” promote Democratic Socialism, which leads to the control of production by Democracy or the Mob who will make the decisions instead of a small group at the top making the rules. Trotsky would be so proud of today’s Democrats. See Entryism

Two things need to be expressed about socialism;

1). The more security, social programs, free health care, and so on,,, the LESS freedom we will have. Security and freedom are diametrically opposed in a zero sum equation.

2). The NAZIs were socialists, far to the left of American politics,,, not to the right. NAZI stands for National Socialist Workers Party. Fascists are on the extreme LEFT, not the right.

I would say greed as well. I would define greed as wanting what you do not deserve or wanting what you did not earn.

Envy is the core motivation behind greed.

Per Common Sense, society is a blessing, and government is an evil necessary only to the extent of the imperfection of society.

Socialism is cynicism directed towards society and - it follows - naiveté towards government.

But as we allow more and more of the world’s “$hit People” into our country, the more our collective society will be all in for having our lives “managed” by the RATs. Because they have this mistaken opinion of themselves wherein they see themselves as “qualified” to run the lives of the rest of us. The only possible salvation will be the Second Amendment, And that is why they make it’s abolition “job one!” Because they know that those they really hate ( us conservatives) have nearly all the privately owned firearms. So when they finally provoke CWII, they need to know we won’t prevail and kill all of them.
