WASHINGTON, D.C., June 4, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) U.S. President Donald Trump has signalled that he believes the month of June is dedicated to homosexual rights and asked the world to stand with same-sex attracted people in countries where homosexual conduct is illegal.
In tweets he published on Friday, May 31, Trump also recalled that his administration is working for homosexual rights worldwide.
As we celebrate LGBT Pride Month and recognize the outstanding contributions LGBT people have made to our great Nation, let us also stand in solidarity with the many LGBT people who live in dozens of countries worldwide that punish, imprison, or even execute individuals on the basis of their sexual orientation, he wrote.

I have had gay friends who were treated horribly by their other, gay, friends, when all the ‘outing’ began.
Like any people, gay individuals can be very nasty. But I don’t know how you can call someone a ‘friend’ if you can’t express your honest feelings to them.
Sadly true.
“... because gay wedding cakes boost GDP.”
Good one!
The same people who would sell ropes to the commies to eventually be hanged with.
“It seems to me that any Christian should feel that way.”
It seems to me that we are witnessing the effects of making laws based on “feelings”. They seem to be very much against Christ.
I wouldn’t recommend our “solution” of legalizing it to anyone.
Ok looks like everyone is having a meltdown here. LOL President Trump is only acknowledging the persecution of gays in countries that make being gay illegal. Many of you know what they do to them and that is by tossing them over a building to kill them. Is that ok with you? Well it is NOT ok with me. It is EVIL. Now I’m not a fan of the gay lifestyle nor do I believe in Gay marriage, but it does not give me or anyone else for that matter the right to murder them. Just as we speak up against Christian persecutions (rightly so) we must also do the same.
It’s the one thing that really pisses me off about the Left.
I consider myself to be a very tolerant person, but the Left tells me that I’m a bigot.
So, do you think homosexual activity between consenting adults should be illegal? And if so, what should the punishment be?
*******************************************************
The poster said nothing about making it illegal.
Should we be allowed to agree with God who called it an abomination?
No, it’s just some more covfefe in his conjure bag.
Well, the poster’s suggestion seemed to be that Trump was expressing ‘approval’ of homosexualism.
My question was simply: if we are ‘approving’ it by legalizing it, and it is preferable to disapprove by keeping it illegal, then what should the punishment be?
Oh, no! Who is giving him advice these days? Doesn’t he realize that this is not in his best interest with the Lord. He would do well to put his trust and faith in Him rather than go along to get along. . . . he is literally thumbing his nose at God on this one.
Dividing Democrats from Muslims is brilliant!!!!
Pandering to these clowns is pointless and a waste of time and none of government's business anyway.
America and the world has far more pressing problems.
Preaching is hard work - much easier to leave to government one's individual responsibilities.
“Oh no I don’t care about this “greatest president ever” stuff How Oh How can I vote for him now?? I’m so confused. I don’t want somebody who is better than anyone else, I want someone who is absolutely perfect and godlike.”
Conservatives lose elections because of their demand for perfection which just doesn’t exist.
I’m with him on most things but not this.
Right.
If you want to know what a politician truly stands for, look at what he fights for tirelessly.
If you want to know what a politician feels he needs to pay lip service to, look at his occasional public statements, never backed up by action.
Say for example, that a politician holds the politically unpopular but statistically verified belief fact that various races have different average IQ levels. Would it be wise for that politician to go around publicly stating that as a fact, when there is nothing to be gained, and everything to lose?
Of course not - that would be foolish. It would offend groups of people while doing nobody any good. All else being equal, a politician should obviously attempt to remain popular by saying that which is popular.
On the other hand, when tens of million lives are at stake, as in the case of abortion, a politician should speak the truth of what he believes, regardless of how unpopular it might be, and speak loudly and often.
Speaking out against homosexuality is rarely the right thing to do - more often than not, it is just a way of needlessly offending homosexuals and their sympathizers, and nothing good is accomplished.
I think the most effective way to fight for the cultural dominance of heterosexuality is simply to ignore homosexuality as much as possible, and take heart in the fact that we can reproduce, and they cant.
The same with people who step into the street without looking both ways, eat strange berries, or get in cars with strangers. Evolution is not on their side. Aberrant behavior is usually counter to survival, and will thus eventually be culled naturally.
Eliminating aberrant behavior doesn’t necessarily need to be part of the Republican platform.
Well done.
There is no good reason for Trump to do this
If he can exert some influence toward saving people in certain countries from very gruesome deaths, it will be a good thing.
It seems to me that any Christian should feel that way.

A Christian would want to lovingly tell people that homosexual activity is sinful in the eyes of God and the long-term penalty for flaunting the word of God would make any penalty suffered here on Earth seem like absolutely nothing.
And that goes on homosexuality or any other sin. Should we have a month celebrating adultery and should the President celebrate along with the adulterers?
