I thought the celebrate priest was at least in part, to keep the Pope from becoming a hereditary office.

But, I could be wrong about that so Catholics please no flames,

i thought the “no wives” rule was so when the priest died, his estate went to the church. Nice.

I don’t think it makes any difference whether they are celibate or not.

The priest who made a pass at me by trying to kiss me when I was about 32 years old was an Episcopalian priest who was married with two daughters.

He had also been the disciplinarian at a school for troubled boys for many years. I wonder how many of those boys found out about the disciplinarian’s proclivities.

These are just evil men who purposely put themselves in positions of trust and authority so that they can pursue their deviant desires.
