Supreme Court denies Trump administration request to fast-track DACA case

Washington — The Supreme Court on Monday denied a recent request by the Trump administration for the court to quickly decide if it will hear oral arguments in a protracted legal battle over President Trump's move to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which shields hundreds of thousands of young undocumented immigrants from deportation.

The one-sentence order by the conservative-leaning court thwarted a request made by the Justice Department late last month and is likely to prolong the nearly two-year court fight over the fate of the Obama-era program — which has been kept alive by several lower court rulings despite the Trump administration's efforts to terminate it.

So an Executive Order by one president cannot be undone by the next president? Trump could go on a tear.

no, no. An EO by a Leftist cannot be undone by any opposition party

Now, why Trump hasn’t wrote out the EO to end all EOs, I still don’t know/understand...

An unlawful immigrant program that Obama concocted can’t be stopped by the highest court in the land? SMH.

In 1932, “we” elected a king, in 2008, a god.

If SCOTUS has original jurisdiction, they have the only jurisdiction. I didn’t decide if the case warrants this portion of USConstitution...

Agree with previous post, since when does on EO changing a previous EO have any business in court; at all. Judicial branch has become quite unlawful.

He should just simply ignore it. It was never law. Prosecutorial discretion has always been up to the reigning power. Simply issue an executive order that all immigration violations will be prosecuted.

If the judicial branch wants to work slowly, so can the executive branch.

Thank you for your DACA application and wanting to make the USA your home. An election is coming up that I want to win. I’ll get around to your application when I have spare time and feel energetic. It’s so easy to get demoralized here in DC.

I’ve told my staff to ensure every DACA application gets sent to me for my perusal.

I don’t understand that since an EO only operates what is within the Ex Branch, then the SC is crossing out of bounds from its Judicial Branch to another Branch in attempting a ruling on Ex Branch internals (EOs) - therefore violating that separation of govt. powers thingy.. :(
