America’s enemies are on notice about this president. (Has a never Trumper changed)
Washington Post ^ | June 1,2010 | Hugh Hewitt

Posted on 06/02/2019 12:19:54 PM PDT by Hojczyk

America’s enemies are on notice: The president is no longer an eloquent pushover professor-president but a ruthless real estate developer and television network brawler-president whose principle weapons are blunt candor and walking away from the table.

Trump is responding to both his domestic political opponents and America’s actual enemies with the same tactics: blunt, repetitive messaging and use of the walk-off. He is sometimes rude, often full of unnecessary slashes, but always direct. (It often seems as if Trump answers more questions from reporters in a walk to the helicopter than President Barack Obama did in formal press conferences.) And there is a transparent candor — what he actually is thinking at that moment — combined with a willingness to walk out of a charade.

Whether it’s Nancy Pelosi, the Chinese trade negotiators or the North Korean dictator, Trump will do a real deal or nothing at all. And he won’t be played. He will just walk away, and then he will tell his side of the story, repeatedly.

Trump has abruptly and with finality simply voided long-held shibboleths among the foreign policy establishment. He holds summits with bad guys and he doesn’t care if the media thinks he’s unprepared. He’s recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, which it is. He recognized the annexation of the Golan Heights as a fait accompli, which it is. He has allowed Jared Kushner to put forward a peace plan for the Middle East, but everyone in the world knows he’s got Israel’s back.

“Clarity before agreement” goes the saying of my radio colleague Dennis Prager. Perhaps Trump’s 2020 campaign can put that on a hat.

“The president is no longer an eloquent pushover professor-president but a ruthless real estate developer and television network brawler-president whose principle weapons are blunt candor and walking away from the table.”

This has been true for over two years.

Where has Hugh’s head been during this time?

Trump gave them all a chance. They all refused to comply.

The result is forced capituation.

Mexico is absolutely stupid if they can’t see that Iran is in the throws of economic death. Mexico’s day is coming. Adam Schiff’s day is at hand

No mercy. No quarter

I guess they are going to have to stop ignoring the 6,000 lb great orange shark swimming around in their swamp.

Make an example of Mexico. Melt it down economically. Make sure the Chinks have front row seat.

There are quite a few examples in process. Mexico is the latest to arrive on the scene. Mexico was given special consideration until last week. Unless the tariffs are raised quickly to 25%, Mexico is behind the pack in the proceedings.

First is Iran. Iran chose not only to not comply but to resist and continue supporting their surrogates in Yemen and Gaza.

Trump tightened the sanctions including those on oil sales. He granted waivers to some. no reaction. He then rescinded the waivers. South Korea, Japan, Turkey, Taiwan, Greece and Italy have ceased purchasing Iranian oil and are being supplied by the GCC and the USA. That is a tremendously harmful event and devistating loss of sales.

The lesson for North Korea and Mexico is that they are at serious risk to the end of the status quo. Kim is suffering from sanctions. Mexico can be in serious hurt if sanctions are placed in addition to the tariff.

It is my belief that Mexico can not and will not comply because of cartel induced corruption. The only solution is military destruction of the cartels.

Mexico and the USA cannot exist at the present status quo. Cartel corruption must be wiped clean, destroued. The same situation exists between us, the good guys and the antiamerican progressives. They must be destroyed, erradicated. They should be paying attention to events in Iran. Pelosi, Clinton, Nadler Shiff et al are more dangerous American enemies than the mullahs of Iran

Trump is who we wanted. Not another fancy-words-that-mean-nothing politician. He may not be the smartest guy in the room, but he’s smart enough to surround himself with really smart, loyal people who will advance his agenda.
