What men have to say about abortion may surprise you
Fox News.com ^ | May 26, 2019 | Matt Hammitt

When I opened up Twitter recently, the trending topic that appeared above my feed was “A Discussion on Why Men Shouldn’t Ignore the Push to Criminalize Abortion.” I was immediately interested to see what other men had to say about the recent wave of pro-life legislation that has swept multiple states.

I scrolled through stories from would-be fathers, thankful for the laws that made it possible for their sexual partners and significant others, past or present, to have abortions. These men spoke with passion about their dreams, goals and career aspirations that would have been stalled, even derailed by the birth of an unwanted child during an immature season of their life. One man wrote that he owed his life to his mother’s right to choose, confessing gratitude that his elder sibling had been aborted, because he “most assuredly” wouldn’t be alive today. These men were affirmed for sharing their stories, showing bravery and taking responsibility in the fight to preserve abortion rights for women, and for themselves.

Dialogue turned to monologue as I followed a rabbit trail of posts and comments, and I quickly found myself between two types of outrage. One directed at men who dared to take a stance on women’s reproductive rights and the other toward men who took no stance at all. I was surprised by how both men and women slung around the phrase “old white men,” or included demeaning uses of “cis men.” Cis, referring to people who still identify as their natural born gender.

Young men who support abortion on demand are too selfish to care about women’s health... they just want free sex.

If it is an immature season of their life then why give them the power to vote?

Pretty much sums it up, as does Matt's closing statement:

I’m going tell them “thank you” for stalling some of my immature plans, derailing a few of my self-centered dreams and showing me how small some of my biggest aspirations once were, in light of now having them in my life.

The day will come that if you work on raising great kids that you will be rewarded with cute little grandkids, a joy the free sex crowd may never know.

"or included demeaning uses of “cis men.” Cis, referring to people who still identify as their natural born gender."

Isn't this made-up word describing like 99% of the population? Transgenders make up all of 0.3% of the American population.

Disgusting. So all of those men basically said that they like abortion because it allows them to experience carnal pleasure without consequence and without responsibility. No doubt, they super appreciate abortion because it gives them an excuse to pressure reluctant women into having sex even after they have stated they might get pregnant.

And the man who was happy that his mother aborted his older sibling? Does he really believe his birth would not have been possible if his mother had not killed her first child? Or if she would have been responsible and not conceived that child in the first place? It never occurred to him that his mother could have killed him just as easily, and that he only survived because of her whims?

These pro-abortion screeds always reek of selfishness and absolute lack of human empathy.

The left would like to simply assume conservative men have no souls. Much to their eternal regret, we all do (or had.)

“So all of those men basically said that they like abortion because it allows them to experience carnal pleasure without consequence and without responsibility.”

Of course. Stupid feminists who think they’re “for the women” have really made life easier for the men. In this case, it’s sex without responsibility.

Forcing themselves into the work force has made it possible for men to be less responsible financially, too. They don’t need to be too concerned about supporting a family. They can be lazier and let the little woman pick up the slack, or even completely support them.

Stupid, stupid women.

Yep, free sex, and "hey, I didn't kill a baby, she did" . I guess they don't realize that they share in the Karmic consequences of killing an innocent.

Utter crap. We all felt sorry for a scoolmate who knocked up his girlfriend at 18. His father made him get a job, any job, to support his responsibilities. He got a gig at a third rate fast food joint called Long John Silvers. Jump ahead 10 years, we’re al 28 and just really beginning to settle in at our career choices. He had graduated to management quickly, saved every penny. Began dabbling in real estate and had a middle aged man’s net worth by that first 10th year reunion.

That aside, running from your responsibilities is not now and has never been “brave”.

Women have choices.

Men have responsibilities.

Indeed. Not long ago, I read an account of a feminist who had an abortion and was blaming her boyfriend for pressuring her into having sex when she did not want to. Yet, even though she acknowledged through her complaint that the abortion benefited him, not her, she was still pro-abortion. I wonder if she would ever realize that a pro-life man is *much* more likely to respect her and not pressure her into sex? That she does not have to risk her health for a man's pleasure?

Twitter is Fake News.

Twitter has no trending topics.
Twitter is rigged.
Twitter has no likes, followers, nor views.
Twitter only has lying, rigged, fake numbers.

How can people be so stupid to believe fabrication?

So many men have opted out of fatherhood because sex and marriage have been successfully decoupled by the left from children; now women get to “play man” as the providers (even if only for themselves), and the ageing childless women I deal with in the workforce HATE it. They seem especially resentful of those younger women from primitive cultures (Christian, Hindu, Muslim) who have children - and their peers who have grandchildren - while they tend mute pets...

Not that long ago in America, men took their sons out hunting, thereby passing on knowledge and tradition, and they gutted their deer in the bush.

The insides of a (once) living creature is a memory that doesn't go away and brings with it a respect for life.

Which is why hunters hunt for food and not sport.

I think it's in a man's DNA to have a deeper appreciation for the life of a child in the womb of a woman ( his wife), than the woman.

SHE has a spiritual connection only (imo), but men have a more pragmatic comprehension because a baby is a human being and not an animal.

MY two cents' worth.

Many women are going to continue supporting abortion until it becomes gender-selective abortion isn’t helping their numbers. The number of graduations and such I’ve attended in the past several years with an odd imbalance of genders makes me think we are already there; perfect pairs of little boys and girls processing down the aisle, with many pairs of matched boys at the end.

India prides itself on being the largest democracy in the world, with open access to abortion, UNLESS IT IS GENDER-SELECTIVE. Now the wealthy just get the heads-up from the doc (and kill the baby in the womb), and the poor deliver unwanted girls and literally abandon them in a ditch to die.

Victory for women!

Men have the choice to avoid sex with women they’re not willing to raise children with. Having rammed it in, they made their choice.
