Another Sun post.

Alrighty, then.

Let’s put it in perspective:

IMHO: This was the launching of challenge to the Chinese to expend resources in a ‘race to the moon’...

Sound familiar?

Frankly, the Moon is the sane choice considering the ‘insane’ (Mars).

In terms of energy requirements, it is much easier to mine, refine, manufacture, and launch stuff from the moon to Low Earth Orbit (LEO) (distance approx 300,000 km) than trying to do the same from Earth to LEO (less than 300 km).

Hey I am (100%) all for this.

For real.

I remember watching the Astronauts on the moon.

I am all for this. We should have kept going.

For real.

No argument there. Had we set upon a Moon base decades ago, we’d know for sure the effect of cosmic radiation upon our biology.

Science is funny that way.../s

We have a LONG way to go to explore the universe (let alone our solar system).

You’re all for it? Then take your life savings if you have any and donate it to the cause because only the tax paying Americans will get shafted financially by this crap.

Space should be controlled and mastered.

For real. Should have been done two entire generations ago.

In the article: As with any space exploration project, the main obstacle is cash.

Maybe they can set up toll gates at the US/Mexican border and get the illegals to fund it. American citizens are tapped out for taxes. Let private enterprise find a way to build on the Moon, perhaps in conjunction with mining interests.
