I want to know why it takes an armed invasion smashing in a door to serve a warrant for a non violent offense to an individual with (I presume) no history of violence.

It looks to me as if all police activity in regards to serving warrants has turned into paramilitary ops. IOW, a police state.

This is between bad and career limiting stupid. The SFPD just opened themselves up to a lawsuit under California's journalist protection laws, as well as for making false statements to get the warrant for stolen property. Adachi’s death by drug overdose is irrelevant here.

The cops may have figured it was worth a lawsuit to get the report.

They are defending the reporter as a hero over this dumb incident because they are going to try and protect themselves on the colluding with one party, they have done in leaking classified information to destroy a candidate for the presidency then a sitting US President.....which they do not have immunity from.

They are trying to set narrative before the hammer drops. This is only one of their coming problems.

From another news source:

"He served as the public defender in the Kate Steinle case in which a Mexican man was acquitted of murder in the shooting death of a San Francisco woman, sparking a national immigration debate."

Adachi, a graduate of UC Berkeley, was also into independent filmmaking and was rasing money to complete a documentary on the Steinle trial and the international debate over immigration policy.

If Kate Steinle were your daughter and Adachi helped get him off of a murder or manslaughter charge, would you give a good crap about what happened to him? I won’t. My daughter is too precious to me to care about those who free the guilty.

However, my daughter isn’t stupid and has a CCP/.380.

Taking on a SWAT team, single-handed, may be an entertaining fantasy — but, in real-life, it’s not likely to end well.

‘I say go with whatever suits our side in the next 4 years.’

I’ve been saying that for years. The country is 50/50 for our side, AT BEST. We literally have NO ROOM for mistakes, because with the next major mistake we make [like electing Hillary or any other Dem in 2020] they will SIMPLY LOCK US OUT of ever winning again. That was their plan in 2016 [are you listening Ted, Levin, and others who claim to be on our side].

And just how would they have locked us out - JUDGES, first and foremost [are you listening Ted, Levin, and others who claim to be on our side]. Their judges now have TOTAL CONTEMPT for the Constitution, and with that, the Second Amendment, as well as the First and all others would literally MEAN NOTHING to the country, since the Constitution rely on JUDGES to correctly interpret their words [are you listening Ted, Levin, and other so-call ‘Constitutional Scholars’ who claim to be on our side].

With the judges having their backs, next comes calling in the guns, and no there won’t be a civil war, they don’t want that - it will just be a very careful warming of the pot, so the frog doesn’t jump out. And next you have election rigging, making PR and DC states, and probably starting work on re-education camps for Deplorables who are unwilling to change.

But none of that mattered to NeverTrumpers - because Trump was ‘obtuse’ and ‘hurt their feelings’. We need to get past judging people based on crap like that and try to understand what the OTHER SIDE intends to do with us, first and foremost - either that or have another country to move to.

I figured out over twenty years ago: The police are not our friends.

Public unions; leftist chiefs.

:: why it takes an armed invasion smashing in a door to serve a warrant ::

Likely because he was a good little prog and registered his weapons with the City, giving LEO a heads up that he could be considered armed?

It is my understanding that this type of assault by law enforcement when serving a warrant is becoming standard operating procedure. Maybe not all the time yet but getting there.
