Washington (CNN)Secretary of State Mike Pompeo abruptly canceled a scheduled trip to Germany, where he was planning to meet with Chancellor Angela Merkel "due to pressing issues," the State Department said early Tuesday.
No specific reason was given for the cancellation. The press pool traveling with Pompeo has not been told where they are going next, and have been warned they may not be able to report from the country they are going to until after their departure.

The problem is if you make a deal with China, two hours later you need to make another one.
Unless we are about to war with China, that seems odd. They are acting like he is going to a dangerous place.

During WW II before we sent troops over seas, one of our planners left a Russian dictionary on a table when briefing the Press that we were going to start a new front. He didn’t mention where but the reporters figured out that it looks like the new front is going to be Norway or northern Russia. They were told to pack their things and report for the flight, still without knowing where they were going. So they figured based on the dictionary on the table, it was Russia.
They packed accordingly, over coats flannel underwear etc.. When they landed where the new front was, it was Africa. Operation Security, gotta love it.

LONDON (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s visit to London is going ahead this week after he canceled a visit to Berlin, a spokesman for U.S. embassy in London said.
“The Pompeo trip to London is still going ahead,” said the spokesman.
Pompeo is due to meet Prime Minister Theresa May and Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt in London on Wednesday.
Between the USS Abraham Lincoln, the defection in late April of the Iranian, the warnings to Iran not to attack us, Iran to re-start nuke program, Israel mobilizing mobile shelters... My guess is something involving Iran.
