William Barr in the Crosshairs
American Thinker.com ^ | May 3, 2019 | Robert Turner

Attorney General William Barr, in keeping with commitments made during the confirmation process and in an effort to quickly answer questions in which the public had a profound interest, provided within days of its receipt a synopsis of conclusions reached in the report of Special Counsel Robert Mueller. The Mueller Report was issued following a lengthy investigation into charges that President Donald Trump or associates were involved in criminal collusion or obstruction of justice relative to dealings with certain Russians in an effort to illegally influence a U.S. election. Quoting extensively from Mueller's conclusions, Barr's synopsis explained that there was insufficient evidence to determine that laws had been broken or that conditions necessary to prove obstruction of justice had been met.

Within three weeks, Barr had further provided a redacted copy of the Mueller Report for public consumption and a less redacted report for the appropriate congressional committees. The information provided and conclusions found in the redacted report, while not what Democrats or their media co-conspirators had anticipated, conclusively demonstrated the integrity of the initial four-page synopsis for which Mr. Barr had been severely criticized.

Since the Mueller report has effectively brought to an end federal investigation into the actions of the president and his associates, the spotlight now turns toward a number of investigations that may reveal a far-reaching scandal like no other in U.S. history. Beginning before and continuing long after the 2016 presidential election, it seems likely that crimes of a preferred presidential candidate were overlooked while the campaign of the candidate in disfavor was spied upon without cause and accused of criminal behavior without evidence. It appears that U.S. and foreign intelligence services were politicized to first prevent the election of and then destroy a fairly elected president of the United States.

“William Barr in the Crosshairs”

A badge of Honor for General Barr.

Great men need great challenges, to fully demonstrate their character and ability. That is why some men fight bulls.

Matador Barr will do battle in a different arena, but likely to more lasting glory.

One of the indignities of growing old as a man, is that other men stop viewing you as threat. William Barr has avoided that dishonor, and has the opportunity for a great adventure instead.

Go get them Tiger!

I suspect Barr knew what he was getting into. It’s the first time someone actually said “enough” and stood his ground. The voters who matter, the ones who could go either way, tend to respect that. He also seems to have infused some backbone into President Trump, who’d been poorly advised to try to be reasonable with the haters in both political parties.

"Shrieking is what they do best."

Like freaking banshees. They won't shut up because they can't stand any other sound than their own tongues waggling. Sort of like flat earthers or moon landing deniers, only it involves less synaptic activity. They definitely have noise on their side.

Yes indeed! He loves this great nation of ours. He has served in the C.I.A. and represented other Presidents. Most likely it galled him to see what was happening to the Executive Branch with this phony S.C. ruse. It’s my belief that, given the closeness of their friendship, Mueller was keeping him abreast of details even before he was nominated. Just don’t believe that some things happen in a vacuum.

‘’This gives us a lot of insight into DTJ’s thinking. He’s been playing defense and now decides to go on the offensive.’’

He MUST! These a$$holes need to be well back on their heels, and NOW!

They are just trying to stop Barr from investigating Obama, Clapper, and Lynch. This is the big fight behind the fight. When the arrests come, they will act like stuck pigs squealing and wriggling like you put a hook through a live worm.

Barr does one thing very well. He gives short succinct answers. My two favorite were when

1. A Democrat Senator sled if Barr would turn over the notes from his call with Mueller, and Barr simply said, “No”. There was no follow up question asking why.

2. Best one was when Feinstein asked about Trump talking to a White House about firing Mueller, and Barr answered, “That’s not a crime.” Feinstein was gobsmacked.

So you only read up to the or and got your ire up and didn't read further. There is no gues on what I think Barr will do. It is rather a comment on the box the Democrats have put themselves into. He knows they are going to do their best to destroy him so he has to fight them by dismantling their cabal.

Your second option — after the “or” — gets my vote! He has to take them all down. The last thing he, as an honorable man, wants is his FBI to remain corrupt, not to all the other alphabet agencies.

“I suspect Barr knew what he was getting into.”

And on Wednesday Barr reminded them what he had said in his confirmation hearings, i.e., “I won’t be bullied.” Love it!
