I would add this observation, when this dragged into court...the judge is going to eventually ask if this rule is for all candidates (from dog-catcher on up through city council members, and the President’s office), and the answer is no. At that point, it’ll fail miserably.
On the other side of this...Trump could walk in with page 1 and 2 (the 1040 alone), and hand that over. It would suffice the rule, but give them very marginal and limited knowledge over the rest of his 250 page tax submission.
