When U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) introduced its H-1B Employer Data Hub skeptics assumed the agency hoped to generate negative attention toward companies and H-1B visa holders. However, it turns out analyzing the data in the hub reveals something USCIS might not have anticipated – evidence the agency is denying H-1B petitions at such a high level compared to previous years that it is clear to attorneys USCIS has acted without proper legal authority in restricting H-1B visas.
“Denial rates for H-1B petitions have increased significantly, rising from 6% in FY 2015 to 32% in the first quarter of FY 2019 for new H-1B petitions for initial employment,” according to a National Foundation for American Policy (NFAP) analysis of USCIS data in the H-1B Employer Data Hub. “Between FY 2015 and FY 2018 the denial rate for new H-1B petitions quadrupled from 6% to 24%. To put this in perspective, between FY 2010 and FY 2015, the denial rate for initial H-1B petitions never exceeded 8%, while today the rate is 3 or 4 times higher.”

99% rejection is the goal. Plus, ending work-permits for the chain migration that comes with H1B. Further, once their visa expires, they need to all leave, immediately. And H1B need to be single-term only, non-renewable. Better yet, just end the whole thing as there are Americans that can fill any job or, if necessary, be trained to fill any job. H1B serve only to undermine American workers, suppress American wages.

H1-B’s should be allowed only when the salary offered for that job exceeds average prevailing salaries for that position by 100%. Abuse and fraud should carry fines of up to 10 years of the salary paid and a 1 year prison terms for the recruiters involved.

The Muslim couple who killed 14 Americans at their office Christmas party in San Bernardino during the reign of King Barack I got into this country on H1-B visas. The government was handing them out like condoms, and the country got screwed.
i tried applying for a welding job a couple of weeks ago. i have a welder and i have welded before (self taught, not that great, but at least i tried).
anyway i got absolutely nothing back.
i figure that the company (imho a first rate local small construction company) is making good profits in an high cost of living area by charging a high price and paying undocumented immigrants relatively low wages and pocketing the substantial difference as profit. any legal american who happens to need a bit of training is automatically rejected as potential trouble maker or high cost employee (training or whatever).
i am thinking that federal and california regulations hold back hiring americans in some cases (esp. older non-minority males).
also a measure of the economy for older non-minority males at least is whether local businesses are willing to HIRE AND TRAIN them if they present themselves as responsible potential employees and the training period is reasonably low (say comparable to post WWII levels).
In turn I am thinking that the economy therefore continues to be relatively weak and that the illegal immigration rate continues to be relatively high, regardless of what the MSM (and anyone else for that matter) says.
IOW, IMHO a healthy economy is an economy in which a person — any person— can get a decent job including on the job training if necessary. We have not had such an economy in a very long time, possibly not even within the lifetime of many millenial job seekers.
I further imagine Trump is well aware of this and is continuing the pressure on the various government and quasi government agencies (eg the federal reserve) to modify policies to provide a healthier economy for all Americans.
(Walmart type and grubhub type employers ask for my resume and typically laugh me out of the store, saying i should go seek high tech jobs commensurate with my experience. High tech companies no longer get back to me, presumably because I am older than the desirable high tech demographic job seeker.)

Amen. The majority of H1B visas are given to low skill immigrants who take jobs from Americans who got a education to better themselves and now must compete amog people willing to do the work for much less.
Unless the person seeking the H1B has a very specialized skill that no American currently has, they should be allowed in to train Americans to learn said skill.

Instead of student loan forgiveness how about ending the College Wage Suppression Visa, better know an as the H-1b visa.
I’m totally with you on this — immigration, especially at the lower skill levels, but up the ladder too, has been used to gut wages. Employers have got used to an employer’s market whereby they are unwilling to train even jobs that don’t require heavy training.
With a drop of 1-2% from when Trump correctly said our current unemployment stats are bogus and the real numbers are closer to 20%, he now goes along with the farce about the unemployment being the best ever, we need more workers, etc., etc.
Most are not skilled. They come here on phony degrees and apply tribal mentality to displace American workers. In addition, there is the chain migration, bringing over their arranged marriage wives who immediately get pregnant and have the child on American soil. 99% rejection should be the goal!
