I very much understood the question and answered it in the same context it was asked. Does he pack fudge (pitcher) or does he take it from behind (catcher). Thus my usage of the phrase “other” team...mixed in with baseball terminology.

My parents raised us on the line, to think and say in response to people who speak ill of us: “Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me”.
I want to tell the kid that no one, but NO ONE, “has” to accept you. Tolerance is all that Liberty demands. Tolerance is not “acceptance”. Acceptance is something EARNED on an individual by individual level. If you need “society” writ large to “accept” you, you are looking for something a society based on true Liberty cannot demand of everyone. That is something YOU need to have acceptance of.

If he did not want to be called names by other teen-age boys, why did he claim to be bisexual in the first place? It is a private thing, and does not need to be spoken of publicly.
It appears that he wanted to get attention, but it backfired and he is now crying like a baby.
