Harrowing reports of a shooter at a synagogue emerged as victims called 911 in Poway, California at roughly 11:30 am local time this morning. San Diego Police quickly responded to the scene where at least four injured were transported to local hospital.
ABC10 reports that, "The incident was reported at the Congregation Chabad located at 16934 Chabad Way sometime before 11:30 a.m., the San Diego County Sheriff's Office twitter account reported.
"Deputies investigate reports of a man with a gun. Please stay clear of the area and allow deputies to safely do their job. Thank you for your patience and cooperation," said the tweet."
According to ABC10, the suspected shooter has now been detained and is being questioned by police. His motives are unclear.
ABC 10 notes, "The synagogue was hosting its Passover Holiday Celebration which was scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., according to an event announcement. The celebration was to end at 7 p.m. with a final Passover meal."

They’re not Nazis pretending to be Christians, but Christians who adore Nazism. Today you’d have to be using methamphetamines to understand it, but from the Middle Ages to the early 20th Century it would have been regarded as normative Christianity.
The region of California where this synagogue shooting occurred is only about a thirty minute trip from some of the historic breeding grounds of the Aryan Nations-Christian Identity movement. Or, at least used to be until the traffic congestion made driving from Fallbrook, Temecula, and Hemet a longer ordeal.

Sorry, you’re wrong. They’re not Christians. They may come from an ethnic group that was historically Christian and now secular (say, Germans, Scandinavians, etc.) but there is no way they can be considered Christian.
They’re possibly identified with one of these formerly Christian ethnic groups, usually Northern European, but they aren’t Christian and most of them have probably never even darkened the door of a church, or at least not since Granny died.

I am so sorry these good people were attacked. That poor woman was murdered right in her place of worship. It’s outrageous. Anti-Semitism has no place in America. We love our Jewish brothers and sisters. This is their home, too. God be with them and comfort them.
