WaPo: How angry pilots got the Navy to stop dismissing UFO sightings
WaPo ^ | Deanna Paul

A recent uptick in sightings of unidentified flying objects — or as the military calls them, “unexplained aerial phenomena” — prompted the Navy to draft formal procedures for pilots to document encounters, a corrective measure that former officials say is long overdue.

“Since 2014, these intrusions have been happening on a regular basis,” Joseph Gradisher, spokesman for office of the deputy chief of naval operations for information warfare, told The Washington Post on Wednesday. Recently, unidentified aircraft have entered military-designated airspace as often as multiple times per month. “We want to get to the bottom of this. We need to determine who’s doing it, where it’s coming from and what their intent is. We need to try to find ways to prevent it from happening again.”

Citing safety and security concerns, Gradisher vowed to “investigate each and every report.”

One of the first things President Clinton wanted to do in office was find out the truth about Roswell. I never heard anything more about it. Obviously, he was co-opted into covering up the alien’s existence. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

You can believe Einstein or you can believe that UFOs are aliens from a star millions of light years away. You can’t believe both.

What if the aliens don’t believe in Einstein? ;)

What if they are extra-dimensional, not extraterrestrial?

Thinking aliens had to fly here from some distant galaxy is "inside the box" thinking. Even Einstein would agree with that.

I never saw Einstein, but I (and hundreds of other people at the same time) saw a UFO.

The senior brain trust in the navy is totally retarded. Every once in a while some good people come along and straighten things out but these things keep coming out.

Even back to the Torpedo problems in WWII. 2 years that went on. That’s full retard.

Agree - extradimensional.

They’re Ancient, Intelligent, and Malevolent

I love the Navy. Grew up wanting to be in the Navy, went to school, got commissioned, served active duty and reserve. Still love the Navy and can tell you that you are 100% correct. The Navy and the military as a whole usually succeeds in spite of itself and senior leadership....

"What if they are extra-dimensional, not extraterrestrial?"

That's been my belief for a long time (extra-dimensional).
And they ARE malevolent.

So according to you our technology is the very most advanced in the entire Universe? Lol, must be wonderful to be so all knowing as you.

No one knows how many planets there are in the Universe but in order to convey a sense of the enormity of the Universe it has been suggested the number of stars (suns) in the Universe surpass the number of grains of sand on every beach on Earth.

Even this mind boggling thought does not include the planets which may be in orbit around the stars.

Rather then taking the position we exist alone in the unimaginably huge Universe I take the position it is simply impossible to the greatest degree possible that we are alone.

If God created man gave us this world to inhabit, why did he create those uncounted gazillion stars and planets? Where does it say God created man in only one place?

Even taking religion out of the argument it is as near a mathematical certainty imagineable life exists in other places other than our planet.

Appeal to authority.

You have more faith in Einstein than I have in God. Sucks being an agnostic.

Here's a no paywall link to the article https://pressfrom.info/us/news/us/-269920-how-angry-pilots-got-the-navy-to-stop-dismissing-ufo-sightings.html#

Whatever they are, closing your eyes and pretending it's not there is just plain stupid.

That explains Giorgio A. Tsoukalos' hair...

"Even taking religion out of the argument it is as near a mathematical certainty imagineable life exists in other places other than our planet."

I have no idea why that would be a mathematical certainty. It's been shown there are over 20 very finely tuned environmental factors (temperature, gravitational pull, radiation levels, etc.) necessary for life here. The odds that even 10 of these factors would randomly occur on any other planet is a number larger than every grain of sand on earth times 10 to the 20th power.

And they ARE malevolent.

Surely less malevolent than humans, after millennia of sightings, we're still here....

So you’re saying it’s Russians?

And they're colluding with Adam "No Neck" Schiff and Sen. Jerry "Nads" Nadler.

Hence the change in Navy policy just when the Dems took over leadership of the House.

Coinkidink? I think not.
