Court halts hearing for baby body-parts videos over 'political bias'

Abortionists convinced California AG to file charges over 'privacy'

A preliminary hearing in California to decide whether or not to try two reporters who went undercover to expose the abortion industry’s sale of the body parts of unborn babies has been postponed.

Attorney General Xavier Becerra filed 15 felony counts against David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt, who went undercover for the Center for Medical Progress, producing more than a dozen videos in 2015 that captured Planned Parenthood executives and others on camera.

He accused the reporters of violating California’s strict privacy laws regarding making recordings, even though the videos often were made in public places such as restaurants and conferences.

A two-week preliminary hearing had been set to begin Monday before California Superior Court Judge Christopher Hite. The will decide whether Becerra, whose political campaigns have been subsidized by abortionists, can present enough evidence to require Daleiden and Merritt to defend themselves before a full-dress jury trial later this year.

Excerpts:

A two-week preliminary hearing had been set to begin Monday before California Superior Court Judge Christopher Hite. The will decide whether Becerra, whose political campaigns have been subsidized by abortionists, can present enough evidence to require Daleiden and Merritt to defend themselves before a full-dress jury trial later this year.

The California Supreme Court issued a stay in the case, Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye announced Friday.

Daleiden’s attorneys with the Thomas More Society told LifeNewsthe court based its decision on “political bias and selective prosecution.”

“Backed up by legions of attorneys from two national law firms, Planned Parenthood is spending millions of dollars to destroy a young man who exposed fetal tissue trafficking in the abortion industry,” Charles LiMandri, FCDF’s chief counsel, said earlier. “We have no doubt that officials’ testimonies will shed a light on Planned Parenthood’s illegal operations.”

Government only cares about privacy when it’s crimes are being exposed.

It takes courage to take on the state’s murder machine.

God bless David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt.

They are trying to “break the bank” on them. Just keep pushing it out until their money is gone.

Well, now, isn’t that sleazy? California AG just HAPPENS to be Eric Holder, who, with his wife, just HAPPENS to OWN abortion clinics. Let’s talk about conflict of interest here.

Ok, so Eric Holder is in the government in CA (somewhere) and owns abortion clinics. I bet they all do. What a horrid state (I live in). Moving soon.

“Government only cares about privacy when it’s crimes are being exposed.”

Which is why crooked cops hate legal cameras more than they hate illegal guns.

True. However, how do you put a price on the thousands of lives saved by David's investigative work. And as long as enough of us contribute, the fight to save even more continues and maybe in the process, we save ourselves.

Those of you who are not familiar with Becerra need to know that he was a corrupt Congressman from California who was appointed Attorney General by Jerry Brown in place of the corrupt Kamala Harris.

Becerra, since becoming AG, has done everything in his power to destroy conservatives in this state. His biggest offense to date was last year when he deliberately listed a deceiving name for the ballot measure that would have rescinded a 12 cent per gallon increase in the gas tax. The title name he gave the proposition was not the name listed on the original signature sheets used to get the measure qualified for the ballot. Rather is was so confusing a title that anyone reading it would have been confused and likely voted against it. The matter was taken to court, Becerra lost but the ballots already had been printed by all of the county registrars of voters.
