Democrats and toxic media at their worst
The Boston Herald ^ | 04-08-2019 | Herald Staff

The left and its compliant media are willfully reporting false news to the American people. Whether it is a symptom of mass hysteria that is the genesis for this confirmation bias-style reporting or an intentional maneuver to spread anti-Trump propaganda, its effect is toxic and pernicious.

Ben Rhodes, former national security adviser to President Barack Obama tweeted, “If the leader of any other country said this, we would view it as a horrifying, authoritarian assault on human dignity. Which it is.”

On and on the list goes. Tweets and retweets of misinformation. Millions of Americans will believe what they have read and look on their neighbors as suspect.

Americans can tweet what they want. Reputable media personnel, however, are entrusted to be the conveyors of truth. They constantly declare their import with screeds about the First Amendment. Those in media who propagated this toxic lie should be fired.

And the Leftists in the media frame every election and are the only significant moderators of the candidate debates either party participates in. And sometimes those moderators slip the questions to Hillary Clinton in advance of the appearance.

A rigged debate is a rigged election.

It is a far bigger scandal than on Twenty-One where a contestant was being given the questions in advance to win a “jackpot” of cash.

>>The report comes in the form of a tweet making its way through the Twitter-sphere in which a user named Mark Elliott has posted a video of Donald Trump who he contends is referring to migrants at the border as “animals.” Elliott, who has almost 20,000 followers added the comment, “@realDonaldTrump on people asking for asylum “These aren’t people. These are animals.”

But but but that goes against Twitter’s rules, doesn’t it?

>>MSNBC’s Joy Reid posted, “Asylum seekers ‘aren’t people.’ They are ‘Animals’. This is particularly frightening language coming out of a person vested with the power of a presidential office.”

Liberals MUST lie or else face the fact that no part of their agenda is legitimate and it will attract NO support.

They must perpetually re educate Americans about ‘free speech... and in the meantime they never GOT the difference between Liberty and License.

We seem to be witnessing the emergence of separate, competing views of reality in the Western world.

One of the great features of Western culture was the rapprochement between religion and science, lubricated by material plenty brought about by the framework of personal morality and discipline provided by religion, and the framework of scientific reasoning that allowed the extremely successful understanding of nature and its subsequent exploitation for the comfort of ordinary citizens.

Now one feature of that material plenty is the inexpensive and widespread control of vast amounts of information; this has made it possible for an entire subculture to trick itself into believing it can manufacture its own reality, a reality that would be seen as madness and quickly marginalized in the world of 100 years ago. The world of Alister Crowley and Helena Blavatsky, of the Thule Society and similar deluded modes of thought, is now capable of projecting itself across far larger populations than ever before by the means of modern information technology, a creation of science, of the system of reasoning that is the West’s greatest accomplishment.

That headline’s a grabber! We’re talking about the Party of slavery, infanticide, the Ku Klux Klan, voter fraud, segregation, coup d’état, lynching, racism—and its Propaganda Machine! What could possibly be worse than that!

Can’t we create a monstrous class action law suit against the MSM with over 60 million participants complaining about lies and un-fare treatment against us? Not a lawyer but I’m sure someone out there could come up with something great. Sue for every penny they own. I’d sign up in a heartbeat.

Spot on and great stuff.

It's worth mentioning that morality and scientific reasoning are both the fruit of religion. First, science depends on the realistic understanding of the inspired-but-fallible human nature of the scientist himself. That comes to us in a unified chorus from the Greeks, the Jews, and Christianity. For starters, because even brilliant men can be mistaken or corrupt, observations must be observable by another observer!

The scientific method also embodies the Judeo-Christian view that the universe is an orderly place created by a benevolent God with laws that man can discover through disciplined observation. It was developed through the teaching of St. Albert the Great in the 13th century at the University of Paris. His students included St. Thomas Aquinas.

Christianity discovered the scientific method itself because of an accurate assessment of the nature of the observer (man) and the thing observed (the universe). Notice that the subculture tricked into "believing it can manufacture its own reality" is an explicitly anti-Christian one. Without an accurate philosophy, you can't get to the scientific truth.

Journalism as we know it is wire service journalism, coming from outlets which talk to, and listen to, the AP and other wire services. It is a “virtual meeting” of "people of the same trade”:
People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public, or in some contrivance to raise prices. - Adam Smith, Wealth of Nations (1776)
The AP has been in business since before the Civil War (Morse demo’d the telegraph in 1844). That means that the framing timbers of "a conspiracy against the public” had been in place a century by the time “the media” was railroading Senator Joseph McCarthy.
To insure truth........ the presses must be burned
Not the presses, IMHO - but the wire services. We need multiple competitive presses so that (in Chairman Mao’s insincere words) “Let a hundred flowers bloom, let a hundred thoughts contend.” That is what the First Amendment was written to assure preserve - that situation existed, with limits for libel and pornography, and that is what the First amendment assayed to preserve with the expression the freedom of the press. Journalism as a monopoly enabled by the wire services assays to “squash every flower but one. Disagreement with us is error to be stamped out.”

Pretty much, establishment journalism exists to criticize society, and thereby to promote big government.

In that quote Trump is referring to MS13 members. And yes, MS 13 members act like animals.

I wish there was a worse word to use for them... They’re like Nazis in that sense - the term ‘monsters’ or ‘animals’ is never quite enough to describe them.
